I'm very excited to participate in the contest 'Choices! What will it be? #40' as this is my seventh post in the serise. As per the rules of contest I would like to invite two lady fellow Steemians to participate in the contest @eveetim @paholags

I am using computer since 1992 i.e., more than thirty years when MS office was not there. Word and spread sheet were used to create a document or table. Those were all based on keyboard commands. During preparation of this post I have learnt many things now as I don't have any formal computer education. In fact I could make a screenshot on computer after many years of use. As I am typing tise post on Gboard which also allows voice typing and I think easier topic is Keyboard. So my choice is

Keyboard Symbols

The following table displays the character symbols, name and Latin-1 number appears on a standard keyboard. The American Standard Code for Information Interchange or ASCII, using a single byte can creat most characters from any Roman based language on any computer.

In case of 'or' or 'vertical bar', I used the letter l instead of actual symbol | as it is used for creating the table by Markdowns.

The special keys on a computer keyboard typically include the function keys (F1 through F12), the escape key (Esc), the shift key (Shift), the alt key (Alt), the tab key (Tab), the caps lock key (Caps Lock), the control key (Ctrl), the windows key (Win), the command key (Cmd) on Mac keyboards, the option key (Option) on Mac keyboards, the arrow keys (up, down, right, left), the backspace key (Backspace), the enter key (Enter), and the delete key (Delete).

I personally used one HP keyboard that lasted for longer periods than other local keyboard costing between 25-38 Steem. I have used more than four Keyboards at home other than office and cyber cafes. Our previous keyboard was Fontech and current one is Lapcare provided one year warranty.

Logitech MX Keys S keyboard is considered to be the best keyboard in the market now. DVORAK have 60% better typing speed than QWERTY.

It is easy to type any language from Gboard in mobile whereas it's not so easy to type any language other than English in computer keyboard. I find it extremely difficult to type Bengali vernacular on desktop. Even in ordinary handset dumbphones also language like bengali can be written from keypad.

Normally monitor, cpu, mouse and keyboard come in a esthetic black colour. Black colour also keep the thing appear less clattered. Keyboard is made of recyclable plastic making it environment friendly.

It's sad that a keyboard can never be repaired here. Excessive use also remove the marking on keys particularly at cyber cafes.
