Contest|"The married and the single"

in Steem For Ladies5 months ago (edited)

Hello Steemians! It's a good thing to share some knowledge on this very important topic. Most times, many people think being single is a crime and depicts that the one who is single is not a good person. This claim isn't perfectly true!

What do you enjoy most during this singlehood time?

This singlehood has been a great phase of my life. Singlehood comes with some feeling of neglect and rejection and every single person needs to keep up with things he/she loves to do so as not to get into depression due to prolonged loneliness and sadness. For me, I take part in varieties of activities that are productive like doing sport activities with my best friend, going for lectures, enrolling for classes that develop my technical skills, attending value adding seminars and hanging out with loved ones. What I enjoy most out of these is doing sport activities with my best friend. These moments take care of every form of loneliness that might have weighed me down. I think you should try this out too as a single person.

Do you think being single limits someone from big things in life?

A great question indeed! Being single is not a pandemic and cannot limit anyone from big things in life. The singlehood phase when utilized properly provides one with ample time to grow and develop his/her skill sets, opportunity to learn how marriage works, enhance in his/her career, opportunity to create and develop good relationships career-wise and it also creates the time needed for bonding with loved ones. When one is married, that person has to put his/her family's welfare first before catering for himself or herself. Those things that one was supposed to learn when single becomes a bit difficult and tedious to cope with.

Have you ever wished to be married?

I really do want to get married. It has always been a thing of admiration seeing couples love and grow together, making babies and nurturing them into adults with good morals. I wish to replicate these soon.

So far, have you learned any lesson from singlehood

Talking about lessons learnt from this phase of being single, I have a lot. I would say;

  • I have learnt to love myself properly after being able to study myself and to know what works for me.
  • I have learnt to embrace my flaws and try to work on them.
  • I have learnt how to communicate better with people who are older or younger than I am.
  • I have being able to upgrade my skill sets.
  • I have being able to make new friends that are adding values to me.
  • I have learnt new things about my career path.
  • I have learnt that I can get anything I put my mind to done.
  • I have learnt to love people genuinely as God commanded.
  • I have been able to heal from trauma.

Singlehood has provided me with a lots of opportunities to add value to my life by giving me quality time to explore my world and do the best with it.

In conclusion, singlehood should not be despised but should be made use of in all its entirety as the proper usage of this phase would bring about developments that'd help even in marriage.
Thank you @ninapenda for putting this up. This gave me the room to express my thoughts without reservations.

I would love to invite @bossj23, @emmy01, @roselove and @ruthjoe to participate in this contest.
