The story of a girl child started from nothing to something. It was generally believed that a girl child should not be trained because their education ends in kitchen. They were not valued, they were not even allowed to take part in decision making that will affect the society because it was believed that they don't have any value to offer to the society.

Today, the story has become different. A girl child is a hope to her generation. She is embedded with great values that each society can't afford to miss

Do you believe in Girl child education? What's your view about girl child education

Yes. I so much believe in girl child education. Gone are those days when it is believed that girl child education ends in kitchen. Women create so much impact in the society today. They are like pillars to every successful society.

Women all over the world have proven to be great asset to the society and the world at large.
These are women like Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Jane Austen, Queen Elizabeth and many others.

Also, when you train a girl child, you are training a nation because she will have more time to look after the children. Mothers are the first teachers of their children. They don't just train their own biological children. They train anyone that comes to them thereby raising the future generation to become something great.

Girl child education also help in reducing poverty in the family and economy. Training the girl child helps reduce poverty in the economy. They get themselves engaged in activities that will get money they them thereby serving as a way to eradicate poverty.

Training a girl child also help in reducing early girl child marriage. They will be educated to know the disadvantages of early girl child marriage and this will help them stay away from such. A girl who does not know anything about the danger of early girl child marriage can easily be pushed to it.

The pressure might come from the parents, guardian etc who would want to give them out to marriage in other to get money from the supposed inlaw for survival.

Also, girl children have been seen to be very focused in their education. Girls have a higher level of resilient spirit in anything they do, they ensure they bring the best out of it. They put such resilient spirit in their education and this help them to come out with success.

Women are seen to be set of beings who can't play with their families. Even when they don't have much, they will ensure they make effort to providing for their families. This is unlike the male gender who would wait till they have enough or have something that is tangible enough to pay back.

All these are achieved when a girl child is trained. Girl education is very important and beneficial and should not neglected .

What is your opinion about early girl child marriage? Should it be encouraged?

I'm not in support of early girl child marriage. Marriage is not a child's play and requires two matured individuals to go into it. Most of the failed marriages has been as a result of early girl child marriage.

They are exposed to what they don't understand early and it affects them.
There are certain decisions that are needed in marriage which a child cannot provide. Their mentality are not broadened enough to carry such.

Also, early marriage leads to much drop out from school. Some of these girls may not even complete their education. Some gets pregnant in the process and may not continue with their education.

I have a cousin who fell victim of such. She got married when she wanted to write her Junior WAEC. I tried sitting her down to talk to her but she wouldn't listen. She could not follow her mates to write her junior WAEC not to talk about entering Ss1 because of the marriage. She couldn't continue with her studies and she dropped out.

The marriage had much issues and she left the man. She even said she's young and has time to remarry. I just pray God helps her and the marriage.

Science has equally proven that early girl child marriage can lead to things like sickness, emotional trauma etc

It has also led to overpopulation in the country. Early child marriage has caused overpopulation and this affects the economy at large. This is where you see families giving birth to many children they cannot take good care of and they turn to nuisance in the society.

In the house who should do house chores? Girls or boys. And why?

House chores should not only be done by girls. Boys should be part of house chores. I lived in a home where both gender engage in house chores and i find it so interesting. It gives the male gender sense of responsibility.

Imagine a situation whereby those boys are left with their mother at old age, they will have no sense of responsibility and will not be able to offer help in such situation. Also, in terms of marriage, they will not be able to offer great help to their wife and family if such situation arise.

Share some challenges the girl child go through..

A child girl is faced with so much challenges. These include;

Rape
This is one of the challenges faced by a girl child. They demand much security and most times, they are not secured. This has led to rape. Rape can traumatize the female gender thereby leaving them emotionally disabled.

Denial of rights like properties
This is another challenge faced by a girl child. It is believed that a girl child should not take possession of her fathers property. Most times, when the father dies without a male child, they will be abused, their fathers property will be taken away from and they will be made to suffer the consequences.

Kidnapping
Another challenge faced by a girl child is the issue of kidnapping. A girl child is more vulnerable to kidnapping unlike the boy child. This could be seen in the situation of the Chibok girls. The girl child is always afraid especially when she finds herself in strange places. She can be kidnapped and her bright future truncated.

Slavery
A girl child is more exposed to slavery unlike the boy child. It is believed that they will be able to do house chores better than the male child. The are taken to become slaves.

Under age marriage
The last on my list is under age marriage. Sometimes, the parents force their girl child into this,especially, when the intending spouse is wealthy. They will go into what they did not prepare for. Some of them are used as rituals, some are also maltreated and most times, different issues keep arising from such homes.

Conclusion
A girl child needs love, care, and security above all. She needs to be valued and protected. Her right shouldn't be denied because she happens to be a girl child.

Gone are those days when they are abused and it was believed that they don't have value to add to the society. Today, they have proven otherwise and needs to be valued and loved.
