Quack, Quack! Here comes the duck, waddling in the pond, looking for its next meal to have. With its webbed feet and yellow bill. A creature with a charming sight to behold. It's a bird that's is both attractive and amusing, inspiring most characters in cartoon plays. A Waterfowl that is at all in good time, whether looking for food or just floating along.

I guess, you already know what I'm talking about. It's the amazing bird called the "Duck". This post will give you almost everything you need to know about the duck. Let's go!!!

A duck is a type of waterfowl, a kind of bird that often spends all it's time on or near water. Ducks are found in all continents in the world except for Antarctica, and they also come in a wide variety of species around. These creatures are known for their distinctive quack, their ability to swim, dive (underwater), and their webbed feet. There are so many Fife types of ducks all around the globe and each one is unique. Below are some of the most common types of ducks.

• Mallard: The mallard is the most common type of duck seen in mainly North America. It has a green head and a white neck rung, and its call is an earsplitting, quacking sound. Mallard are found in almost all states in the U.S, and they're also common in country like Canada and Europe as well as Asia.

• Wood Duck: The wood duck is a varied duck with a red head, green wings, and a white chest. It lives in wooded areas, and it's call is a tender, whistling quack.

• Pintail: The pintail duck is a frail duck with a long sharp tail. It has a grey body and white stripe on its side. Its call is a low, quacking sound. Pintails can be found in wetlands throughout North America. They're also found in Asia and Europe too.

• Teal: Teals are little ducks with blue bills and green heads. They're found in marshes and ponds. Their call is different, which is a high-pitched whistle. There are several types of teal, which includes the green-winged teal, cinnamon, blue-winged teal, silver teal etc.

Ducks are generally omnivores, which means that they eat both plants and animals. Their diets consists of aquatic plants, seeds, insects, frog, small fishes and even mammals and birds. In the wild, they go in search for food by walking on land or swimming. They may also feed in grasses, weeds and other vegetation, because they're in the category of omnivores animals.

Ducks are acquisitive feeders, and will eat whatever is present to them. They are also known to eat bread when it's been presented to them by human beings. However, bread is not a natural diet of ducks and can be classified as harmful substance to their health.

Ducks lives in varieties of habitats including forests, wetlands and urban areas. In wetlands ducks can be found living in rivers lakes ponds and even the ocean. They may have their nests built on the ground in trees or even on floating vegetation.

In forests docs May live in wooded areas which are very close to bodies of Water. Also in urban areas dogs may live in ponds parks and even the streets of cities. And no matter where they live or stay ducks are creatures which have the features of adaptability which makes them thrive for survival in a variety of environments..

Another fascinating thing about the creatures called ducks is their role in folklore and mythology. In native American cultures, they are often seen as a symbol of transformation and rebirth. In some cultures, the duck is associated with the moon and which is believed that they have the power to bring rain. In the ancient religion of the Egyptians, the duck was associated with the isis goddess, who was a symbol for motherhood and fertility.

And in Greek mythology, the duck was also associated with the goddess Aphrodite, who was the goddess of Beauty and love. Amazing, how this creature is associated with many different cultures and beliefs.

To conclude, it is very much clear that ducks have played an important role in many cultures, beliefs, both past and the present. The amazing and interesting features of the animal is very compelling and attractive from it types, diet, mating process, diet and habitats. In all, ducks are very wonderful creatures that add beauty to the waters, land and nature in general.
