CONTEST! Choices! What will it be? #9 - SHOE
Hello Ladies,
Today I choose "shoe" because... I've always hated shoes.

I have a large foot, and since I was a child, I have had difficulty finding shoes. Already at 12, I had to wear women's shoes that I didn't like; I wanted girls' shoes, those wonderful patent leather flats, maybe red! "No, there is no size, sorry."
Or I had to use tennis shoes, and anyway, the search was long, and I hated sitting down to try on shoes that I wouldn't have liked anyway, but I had to settle for what I could find and maybe the ugliest colors.
Once, while I was trying on shoes in the shop, trying to fit a size smaller than mine in desperation, a saleswoman said to my mother, speaking as if I weren't there, “She doesn't have Cinderella's feet!”.
Can you really say such a thing to a little girl? Maybe I had a childhood trauma!
Why are beautiful feet associated with Cinderella? It seems to me that she too had some problems. Maybe she lost her shoe because she had club feet!
Growing up, things haven't changed much. Of course there's a lot more choice in the shops in terms of sizes, and then of course I've grown in height, luckily. But many shoe models fit me very badly; for example, if they are pointed, the foot looks much bigger.
Now I like sports shoes, but I have to pay attention to the models because if they are too big, the foot seems even bigger. So with the platform shoes, I look like Frankenstein walking!
I've never gotten along well with heels; I've never learned to walk on stiletto heels, and when I'm forced to wear elegant shoes, I have to choose shoes with a 3 or 4 cm high heel that are sturdy enough to walk comfortably.
In short, even now the search for shoes is not easy, and in fact, when I find shoes that I like and fit me well, I treat them very well, clean them, and keep them in the shoe rack to make them last as long as possible and avoid another excruciating search!
Years ago, I took a flamenco class. You need special dance shoes; there was only one dance shoe shop, and do you think it was my size? Of course not; they had to order them from Spain directly from the manufacturer.
Perhaps the shoes that I like the most are boots, because they somehow balance the figure, and it seems that the legs are longer, so the foot is proportionate too.
In the summer, on the other hand, I really love sandals. It's strange, but with sandals and therefore the foot in plain sight, I don't worry about the size of the foot.
In fact, to those who tell me not to worry about big feet because I'm also tall, I reply that I don't worry about my feet; it's really the shoes that I hate!
I wish to live on the beach to go barefoot forever!
That's all Ladies,
I invite to enter the contest @artimina @tarazona14
Thank you for entering Choices! What will it be? #9.
Shoes! Haha! You’ve put a smile on my face. Who needs shoes? (•ิ‿•ิ) I don’t have big feet but I have a high bridge which makes it very difficult for me to get a shoe that fits that has anything over the bridge. I’ve learned over the years not to stress about it anymore. Life goes on, with shoes or without shoes. How I wish I could walk barefoot wherever I go.
Good luck!
