Hello to all my steemian friends, and my heartfelt respectful greetings to all the seniors of Steem Ladies community

CONTEST & Winners! Choices! What will it be? #73 by @patjewell in Steem For Ladies

Our thumb is an important part of our hand, it appears separate from the fingers at the level of the index finger.

The thumb is also called the opposite thumb because our other fingers can be touched by moving the thumb here and there.

The thumb is used in many tasks of our daily life, such as cracking fingers, writing with the hand, buttoning clothes and many other tasks or the thumb is used in daily life to hold an object.

Today I also want to tell you a story from our country's famous historical Mahabharata, which has the story of Eklavya's thumb. Eklavya was the son of a Nishad named Hiranya Dhanu, he wanted to learn archery from Guru Dronacharya. According to this story of Mahabharata, Dronacharya wanted to make Arjun the best in archery, that is why Guru Dronacharya refused to give knowledge of archery to Eklavya. After this, Eklavya made a statue of Guru Dronacharya and started practicing archery by considering the statue as his guru, by practicing continuously he learned archery.
One day the Pandava and Kaurava princes went hunting with Guru Dronacharya. The princes' dog reached Eklavya's ashram and started barking. Due to the dog's barking, Eklavya was having trouble practicing. Then he closed the dog's mouth with arrows. Eklavya had shot arrows so skillfully that the dog did not get hurt in any way.

When Dronacharya saw the dog, he was stunned to see this skill of archery. Then he went to Eklavya in search of the one who shoots the arrow. And praising Eklavya, he wanted to know about his Guru.

Eklavya told Guru Dronacharya that Guru Dronacharya was his Guru, knowing this Dronacharya was surprised and started thinking that Eklavya can become even better than Arjun, if his thumb is separated from his hand then he will not be able to shoot arrows. Then Guru Dronacharya asked for Eklavya's thumb in Guru Dakshina and Eklavya cut his thumb and gave it to the Guru.

Small children also use their thumbs very well, when they feel hungry, they start sucking their thumb, which makes it very easy to understand the hunger of the child.

When we like someone's work, we boost their morale by praising them by smiling and showing thumb. In this way, our feelings can also be expressed with the thumb.

And nowadays, many activities are also taught to children with the thumb.

Today was Sunday and all the members of my family are together, and everyone is in a mood of complete freedom and fun, I got a little angry at my daughter that she was not listening to me, and I scolded her, she thought that now mummy is angry so she will have to convince her. So she thought of a way to convince me, took a paper and color and started making a thumb painting. She applied color on her thumb and gave the shape of some flowers and leaves.

And she completed it in her own way and brought it to me, and said look mummy today you are writing a post on thumb so I have made this painting for you with my thumb, at first I did not give any answer, so she got a little disappointed, then I looked at her and smiled and showed her the thumb 👍, she became very happy. 😊

Thus, the thumb is not only an important part of the body but also an important part of our life.
