SEC16W1: “It is Women’s Day!”
Steem greetings all the way from the motherland-Cameroon, and welcome to my blog as I share ideas regarding investing in women to accelerate progress.
There have been numerous calls from women activists, and women-led organisations for policy reforms to include women at all levels of decision making in the society. This is because in the past women were seen as the weaker sex and not included in decision-making be it at home or in society.
Also, traditional stereotypes hindered women's participation in the growth of society. This applies mostly within the African traditions as most of the traditions conveyed gender biases. Women were not empowered because men wanted to gain control over everything.
Nowadays, due to constant sensitization and awareness-raising, many women have been empowered to take up positions within the government, business and entrepreneurial sectors and are doing perfectly well.
We can not overemphasize the role women play in the growth of the economy. It is evident that women are better managers seen by how they better manage their homes.
To better celebrate women, I will start by celebrating myself first as a woman. I know my worth and what I am capable of achieving. No negative energy can change who I want to become. I will use this opportunity to tell all women out there, to believe in themselves and that no one should make them feel worthless.
One suggestion I will make to better invest in women is to let every woman support another fellow woman. I have realised that nowadays, the problem of fellow women is from another woman and not from men. Men are rather more supportive of women's empowerment. If we learn to be another person's support system, then every woman out there stands a chance to accelerate growth.
In sum, investing in a woman is like empowering the whole nation. Celebrating women for their outstanding achievements is a boost of their morals to keep doing better each day. It is true that in the early days, women are nit regarded as anything, their voices are not heard in the family or the society, but today, they have risen for their voices to be heard. I think the men believed blindly that they are the head over everything including their women without realizing that women are the pillars to which they stand. If a woman can take care of her home, then ahe is a good manager and could manage the affairs of any organization, that is why today, they are seen in high places. Success to you!

In the past, women were seen as weaker and excluded from important decisions. Traditional stereotypes and biases held women back, but things are changing. Thanks to awareness-raising, many women are now empowered and making a positive impact in various sectors. Women play a crucial role in the economy, and supporting each other is important. You're doing amazing, keep shining.
I agree with Investing in women, women should be more empowered and involved, it's true as you said women are good managers, I also see my wife how she manages the whole house work and is able to finish it well.
That's why I really appreciate women especially my mother who struggled for 9 months when she was pregnant, and for a dozen years I was cared for and raised with love.
