INTRODUCTION

Having a bad day is a universal experience we all encounter at some point. It's that whirlwind of events that seem to conspire against us, leaving us feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, or simply drained. From minor inconveniences to major setbacks, a bad day can cast a shadow over our usual optimism. But it's also an opportunity to explore resilience, coping mechanisms, and the power we hold to turn the tide even amidst the toughest moments.

Afternoon

I would say today is the worst day of my life this year😭 I was scared, broken, guilty and worried. We had a journey to nasarawa state and the plan was we were going to leave Abuja by 12pm to get there in time. Although the journey from Abuja to nasarawa in a private vehicle is like 1hour 30minutes and we were to go for this journey in a private vehicle.

We couldn't leave by 12noon as planned and we left 1:30pm. We were supposed to follow maraba axis but the driver complained of maybe there might be hold up that wel should follow through karishi. I insisted we go through the route we know but they won't allow me speak. They suggested we should follow the map that we will get there in time.

That was how we followed the map to an unknown village that barely have a road, filled with Fulani people. Water in all part of the road. The car we left with got do bad because the whole place was filled with rock. We got to a point, there was no road anymore, we had to turn back and re-route the journey that was supposed to be 1hour 30minutes journey became a 4hours journey.

I was praying to God not to allow me die in this manner, everyone was praying because according to research it was recorded that there was riot in the village of recent that involves the fulanis killing the other tribes and we were so lucky to have left the village in time. I was asking God for mercy because I have never thought such village exist in this world. It was a testimony😞 God did.

Evening

We arrived nasarawa town and then we begin to see people on the road, busy road and businesses going on and that was when our mind became calm. We searched for where to get a good food at least to eat because the last time we ate anything was around 9am and we didn't have anything again till the journey was over. We went to different restaurants but we couldn't get what to eat there, untill we found where an igbo woman was selling food and we had to stop to eat.

After eating,we bagan another search for hotel to lodge. We are new to the city and we don't really know any hotel around there so we had to use the map to check for hotels near us, we went to 10 different hotels some where filled, some were dirty and some was temporarily closed. Untill we went to a particular one, although it was small and not too neat but we had to pay because that's the best we can get. We were able to get a place very late because we were driving around looking for hotels. We got there, the kitchen was already closed we had to sleep hungry for the night.
