MY VIEW ON SHOPPING

Shopping is the act or process of going out to mall to buy things that you need, sometimes it's not necessarily things that you need. To some people shopping is like a hobby, they just go shopping because they like it. To other people it is their way of relaxing, I have heard about a lady that takes herself out for shopping whenever she is stressed or feels tired and worried, to her it is a way to unwind.

Different people shop for different reasons but as for the statement that women and shopping are paddies, I am fully in support of it. Hardly do we see men wanting to change their wardrobe but you see women🤗? Women can change their wardrobe for a living. Most men does not really pay attention to shopping regularly but ladies even go to the extent of not repeating the same dress twice. I have a friend who does repeat cloth for an event and she is not tired of shopping new dress each time she has an occasion to attend.

I also have a friend who see shopping as a way of relieving herself of thoughts. Sometimes she is not even in need of beverages but she will call me to say she wants to restock the house that I should accompany her to the mall. She just wants to go out and explore not that she actually have need for what she is buying.

ONLINE OR OFFLINE SHOPPING

Different women like things differently so shopping choice depends on each person. Someone like me I prefer offline shopping because I love to see what I paying for before I make payment for the good or goods.

ADVANTAGES OF ONLINE SHOPPING

1. It saves us the stress of having to go to the market or store to buy goods. You will just sit at the comfort of your home and order what you want which will be delivered to your door step.
2. It saves money, imagine me being in need of an item that is Lagos and I am in Uyo. The transportation fee from Uyo to Lagos is more expensive than delivery fee so the best option is for me to buy that item online.
3. When shopping online, no one convinces or talks you into buying what you did not want to buy, you only pick an item that you really need at the moment.

DISADVANTAGES OF ONLINE SHOPPING

1. When we shop online we may be at risk of loosing our money, that's if we are shopping from the wrong site because it's hard to identify the right site to shop with online.
2. Online shopping can be delaying, sometimes it can take days or even weeks before you get what you paid for.
3. In online shopping, what you ordered versus what you got might be quite different. You can see a lovely hair online and pay for it but when it arrives it turns out to be ugly.

ADVANTAGES OF OFFLINE SHOPPING

1. In offline shopping you are sure of the quality of goods you are buying before paying for it because you can see, touch and examine it.
2. It is the best option for people in the rural area since they have little or no digital knowledge.
3. Shopping offline Is not time consuming, you dont have to wait for 3 to 7 days for your goods to arrive. You just take a walk or drive to a store and get what you want.

DISADVANTAGES OF OFFLINE SHOPPING

1. We tend to shop more than we budgeted for because we find variety of goods at the shop.
2. Offline shopping is expensive to some extent, if you want to travel in order to do some shopping, you will spend more money than you would have spent shopping online.

An online app that is popular in my country is Jumia online shopping mall. Their head office is in Lagos and they have branch offices across major states in our country Nigeria.

In conclusion, women who are crazy about shopping are mostly women that have money, who are from a wealthy background or a wife to a wealthy man. It takes money to shop so it is obviously the rich women that are really crazy about shopping. I appreciate @aviral123 for organising this amazing contest.
