1. What are you good at? Or, what are you interested in? (It will be good if you can share some images)

I am an Environmental Biologist. I conduct scientific research and analysis with respect to anthropogenic activities affecting the Environment as well as the various organisms found in them. I collect samples ranging from soil, water, zooplanktons, as well as phytoplanktons as they all make up the food chain in the aquatic body.

Environmental preservation is a topic that has piqued my interest in biology. The legal and illegal crude oil refining activities have caused severe environmental concerns in the Niger Delta region, where I was raised. This is why I decided to study environmental management (conservation) in college. There has been significant environmental degredation as a result of pollution on many scales, loss of biodiversity, and events like oil spills and wildfires caused by both major and small-scale refineries. There is a pressing need for specialists and people with a greater understanding of the dynamics of environmental management and conservation because current attempts to handle these issues have failed.

2.Why would you say that you are good at it?

An image that will stay with me forever is standing in front of my house as a smoke cloud from a local wildfire raced over the hill and headed for squarely above us. The sun shrank to a pinpoint of red light, the sky turned to a thick blanket of black clouds, and our roof was covered in ash. Never before had I been so scared. This experience has opened my eyes to the critical nature of environmental protection.

There are countless undiscovered mysteries on Earth, as its varied ecosystems are home to hundreds of species that can only thrive in specific environments.

The topic of the environment has been widely covered in the media over the past few years. From melting ice caps and volcanoes to raging wildfires and endangered species, climate change is having a profound impact on the natural world. It seems like disasters just keep piling up. Meanwhile, widespread deforestation and the use of fossil fuels are rapidly increasing global emissions of carbon dioxide, giving us less time to adapt.

Growing up in an Environment where there is high rate of pollution has spike my interest greatly and made me have passion in issues related to the environment.

I know I am good because I have had the opportunity to work with The institute of pollution studies in my state. I have also made my research work know by publishing 2 papers on my work in an international journal and I hope to do more.

I have also had the opportunity of partnering with organizations interested with issues related to the environment from Neighboring states.

3. If there is something else that you would like to become good at, what would it be?

I would love to become a conservationist, not just limiting myself to hydro biology and the natural environment but expanding into conservation of primates as well as wildlife. That is another critical area that needs to be looked into as there is a drastic decline in most primate and wildlife animals.

4. Tell us about someone that you admire for being good at something

I admire my undergraduate professor. Prof G.C Akani is very good at what he does. He is not Just good at what he does, but he is passionate about it. The way he talks about wildlife, snakes and those animals, will make you think they are not harmful. You cannot hold a conversation with prof without him telling you about wildlife animals. I hope to be better than he is someday.
