My Entry, "Women in the Spotlight ✨" #08
Today, I am equally delighted to have a chance of taking part in the “Women in the Spotlight✨ #08 (Jealousy Nature of Women?)” competition organized by the exceptional @aviral123. The current intriguing topic offers a chance to explore the multiple and frequently misinterpreted feelings which a majority of females have. Jealousy is one of the feelings inherent in every human being, but the influence it has may differ greatly. In this discussion I hope to analyses the causes of jealousy, and its presence in women, or if it is perhaps an inbuilt trait in every lady. It would be quite exciting to express my ideas and some lesson learnt from this intriguing topic.

Of course, I totally agree with this statement' women are the biggest enemies of women' Society despises women and so makes sure it trains them to compete against each other, forgetting their interconnectivity. Such a competition borne out of jealousy and insecurity culminates in practices such as gossiping and working to ensure the other person fails. Also, the assimilation of the patriarchal attitude makes some women turn into enemies on other women thus continue to perpetrate the inequality. However, this isn’t universal. A large number of women are currently striving to change this tendency and to cultivate support and encouragement, as everyone needs this in order to progress.

Jealousy in women arises from competition, pressure from society to make comparisons mainly in aspects relating to fear of inadequacy. Social media only worsens such feelings due to the setting of unrealistic goals and expectations it brings. In organized practice, competitive envy emerges from the belief that there are scarce opportunities, and therefore one woman benefiting hinders other women. Also, social scripts that promote competition among women instead of promoting their unity also lead to these feelings. This is because identifying these causes is helpful in steering away from the ‘rat race’ and instead, creating an environment that encourages the empowering of other people.

There was a woman (My relative) I knew whose commonplace jealousy accompanied her achievements. She has been envious of one of her close friends’ marriage and unfriended her to avoid pressure on settling down. It did not stop at this; her jealousy followed her to her place of work, and she constantly felt that people were out-doing her in achievements, this made her doubt herself and withdraw. But she did realize that her jealousy was neither appropriate nor called for, because it was rooted in her own inadequacies. In doing this, she was to learn about self-acceptance and not to compete with other ladies but instead, support them.

For myself, I have no objection to the say that sometimes women can be jealous, and to some extent can even injure themselves. Negative behavior patterns such as; withdrawal from social life, abandonment of personal care, or substance dependence can be as a result of jealousy and low self-esteem. Such actions may be as a result of feeling pressured to compete with other people or groups all the time. But, by eradicating jealousy and paying attention to self-esteem aspects, which are root causes of the above effects, most women are capable of warding them and embracing constructive self-images.
Therefore, the jealousy nature of women involves societal pressure, insecurity and the need for acceptance. Although it might result in undesirable behaviors and self-mutilation, mastering its origins and emphasizing personal development can save those feelings in women. Women can show one another love and competitiveness and change jealousy for something more constructive.

Jealousy and envy are devilish tools that give birth to unhealthy competitions and low self esteem that drives some women to destroying other women. It's true that women should be a support system to one another but in some situations, you find them being the enemy.
Nice content, best wishes.
