It warms me to my heart that this message reaching every one of you in good health. Today I am glad to be a part of the contest “Women in the Spotlight ✨#07 (Give a Hand of Help)” hosted by @aviral123. In particular, I rather like this theme as it shares the powerful and tender emotions of women who help others. As such I am keen to present my ideas and to be part of this motivational discussion.

Should we help others?

Obviously, helping others is a core part of being a human. It creates positive relationships and enriches people’s understanding of others who may be facing different challenges in life. Any sort of gestures that are carried out irrespective of the size have the potential to turn out to be a massive response with long term benefits in all the aspects of the lives of victims of violence. Thereupon, volunteering assists the needy individuals and fosters a kinder society while giving a meaning to life and the Nag initiative. Caring for each other improves the social fabric and shows how we are interdependent in our lifestyle.

Should we help someone when he asks for it or should we help without asking?

I believe, while the proactive approach is important to suggest helping hands, the reactive approach as well plays a significant role as well. Being willing to help someone when you don’t necessarily have to shows the person how much you care for them and how willing you are to assist at their time of weakness. It demonstrates that the person concerned has a proper understanding of the needs of the other person.

On the other hand, replying to direct queries is equally appropriate as it does not intrude on the individual’s rights while at the same time recognizing their unique requirements. It makes a certain that the help provided is what they want and need in the intended future. The use of both of these strategies to some degree brings balance so that the other person can be helped without overbearing. This way, we promote understanding and tolerance in the society, and people are willing to share and help.

Who comes forward to help quickly between men and women?

To my mind the degree of readiness to help quickly cannot be generally attributed to people based on their sex but rather it may be quite different from a woman to a woman and from a man to man. Another analysis of the results obtained in different studies and observations of the extent of caregivers’ involvement shows that women initiate this kind of support more frequently than men. The female gender is normally worked upon to become more compassionate and caring than the male gender hence might take less time to and respond to any needy person.

However, the males also report the need to help, especially when they think they are in the best position to do so. The time as to when people rise up to the occasion can vary due to several reasons, such as past experiences, cultural practices, and shared situations.

In the end, willingness to help is one of the personal attributes that are evenly distributed amongst females and males. Concerning the social support, it is crucial to understand and embrace the variety of roles people can take in support of others.

It is said that even God is happy to "help one another". Who believes it?

I strongly believe that living a life where you give others support is highly appreciated in the eyes of Allah. Whoever commits any act of benevolence then he or she will be supported by Allah and will be his pleased. Helping fellow beings without the intent to harm them is the sign of righteous deeds and good moral possessed by a person. Thus, assisting others is not only proclaimed as a morality mission, but also a way of being with Allah’s grace. This I regard as a detestable vice since as a professional who has vowed to help people, the last thing I want to be is a person of low character.

Lastly, offering a hand of help it is a fundamental valuable positive act in any society. It simply means that the kind of support which we give voluntarily or the support which we extend when asked for it is in a way an expression of one’s character and values. Caring for the community also benefits the society and offers a religious task to be rewarded as a result of being under god’s grace. Such acts, I believe, show that we are able to be empathetic and righteous in one’s own life.
