I would like to thank @patjewell for sharing such an incredibly diverse and interesting array of writing prompts for us to consider. My choice of the week is Bakery. It is a business enterprise that prepares and sells baked products and confectionery through a retail store or a restaurant. Every man and woman, boy and girl cherishes bakeries – in which the soft smell of bread and the glee of cakes is present and the simple touch on the door handle invites for a full sensory experience. There are limitless examples to be told and to describe the bakeries of the world and it begins from the delicate art of making pastries to the hearty tradition of bread making. This is why I have decided to focus on the delightful topic of bakeries and try to uncover not only the distant history but also the craft and passion behind these amazing shops that feed not only our bodies but also our souls.

I love bakeries, especially when they have tables and chairs and, yes, red checkered tablecloths and flour on the floor. (•ิ‿•ิ) Oh yes, and those breads in the window.
I don't think I would mind having a small, intimate bakery. One big enough for me and one more person to handle.
