• As a cook, explain things that should and shouldn't be worn when cooking.

What to wear and what not to wear while cooking is a great concern especially for Bangladeshi girls. I believe that the Asian women more so cook than women from other parts of the world. Preparation of foods also entails the safety and health of the cooking person. For this reason when one is cooking, they should wear comfortable clothing that does not compromise on safety. For one, an apron protects your outfit from the oils splattering on it and in a similar way your apron guard you from spices. It also important to ensure that our hairs are tied, as hair could easily fall on the food or get caught in the gas flame. Cooking when in a saree or a long scarf is equally disastrous since the cloth may catch fire from the stove. Therefore, let our saree or scarf be well arranged while preparing the food. Don't wear many ornaments as it can mixed with food and become a challenge for working. In short, people should be very selective for clothes while cooking.

• Explain what you understand by kitchen etiquette.

Kitchen etiquette means the right and appropriate conduct that any person should adopt during preparation of foods. To achieve the above the following needs to be done; cleaning of the kitchen, the right utilization of foods and efficiency of work to be accomplished. Other manners that should be followed in a kitchen include washing our hand before handling any food preparing, use of two separate chopping board when handling vegetables and meat respectively, and cleaning of the kitchen once the food is prepared is also important. While cooking, do not rush, that's can lead an accident. I have personally experienced a situation when due to hurry, I burned my hand. It is also important to have good manners with anyone you meet in the kitchen and this include assistant. If we are organized in the kitchen then what we are cooking will also be much better.

• People say, "it is good to have a meal timetable, it helps you eat a balanced meal. What do you think about it? Do you have a meal timetable?

We all know that a proper diet is crucial to keeping our bodies in shape to the best way possible. This is beneficial in some ways when we eat on time, it is good for our health. If we used to take our meals at a regular time then the digestive process is easier. There is nothing as important as having our meals in time because this helps our body get the nutrients it needs and also keep us charged all through. Who do not follow a timetable have compiled with bad eating habits which make them get sick. I have regular mealtimes because it benefits me for my nutrition, and give strength to work.

• Is eating at midnight a good habit, yes/no. State your reasons.

Eating at late night is always bad for us. In this state our metabolism decreases and because of it food is not digested well especially at night. Late night eating is even worse since no time is available for the digestion of the consumed foods. If we take a meal and immediately go to sleep, the calories are stored as fat, which mean weight gain. Also it is seen that eating at night affects sleep because the body continues with the digestion process during the night. It is healthier to take light meals at right time than to take a meal at late night.

• What is the first thing to take when you wake up in the morning? Why do you take it?

Glass of Water

It is very recommended to take water in the morning because the body has been inactive during the night and, therefore must be dehydrated. A glass of water refreshes the body, and for that reason, we feel refreshed after taking it. We also hold toxins in our body at night, and when we drink water we flush them, and this is healthy. Drinking water in the morning, wakes up one’s metabolism to allow the individual to be energetic all day. The first thing I take in the morning is a glass of water to make me feel fresh in the morning and kick start my day.
