Choices! What will it be? #65 / Pain
Every new months comes with a certain form of anxiety and a little worry...oh did I just say worry? The scripture says not to worry right. Arrrrrhhhgggg.
It's usually on the seventh, eight or nineth... Wondering why it shifted to fifth this time around and then to forth ohhhhhh now it's on the first?
What? what's happening now... Arrrghhhhh, I feel like strangling someone, wasn't ready for this at all.

For crying out loud today is meant to be a very busy day and I have a crucial appointment to keep and of all days to show yourslef. She lays in bed confused, tired, not knowing what to do.
Fast forward to present day, After sleeping for hours and just woke up at a loss of time and having dragged herself to the toilet and back, she laid on the floor still in pains wondering what's her purpose in this life, hungry and not even a smidgen strength to go fix a meal, after all she's all alone.
Then a random thought... Would it have been different if her husband were to be around? Husband ? You mean if she was to be married?
A jerk from the power holding company light brought her back to reality.... It's the day two...
A little flashback to yesterday too. she woke up looking forward to having a fun filled day and all of a sudden that infamous feeling gnawing just below the belt. She can't believe her eyes. But it's just second of the month. I thought it was for the fifth.
Arrrgggghhhhhh! She grunted in frustration. Now she feels like strangling something yet don't know what do strangle. Managed to cook breakfast with failing strength and then succumbed to that weird but familiar feeling of whatever to call it. She’s been in pain for hours while struggling to sleep, That time of the month, a dread for her.

Some months seem to be fair while others seem to be strange with excruciating pains. It’s get bizzare that sometimes she throws up more than once with pains lingering for days. Cramps extraordinaire if I may give it an unbeffiting name.
Just then a knock on the door, She hissed and drags herself up from the floor to attend to the door and then a visitor shows up seeking attention.
OMG! This visitor came at the wrongest time and would have to attend to herself. She shows the visitor the kitchen and returns to the floor where the cold floor and the pangs of menstrual cramps was waiting for her as the only faithful companionship this time of the month.
Fast forward to the present. Still hungry, no strength to stand up from the floor she's been lying down on for hours, mind you that was where she slept last night, yes on the floor when there was a big bed in the room. This thing comes with it's shenanigans and you wouldn't know which it brings per month.

While thinking presently about her life as a woman, she wonders how other ladies battle with this visitor that knocks on their door sometimes without invitation, sometimes earlier than expected and sometimes late for whatever reason best known to it.
They have no choice than to open the door and attend to the most high of their regular creation and then the thought, Why not write a short story about the pain you go through every month as a woman and Yes that's how we got here.

How do you manage to survive those days cos right now am on the floor hungry, tired, in pains, writing story about my monthly blessing and waiting for angelic intervention🤣...until the angel comes, gist me.🤪
Hahahahaha. I think it's trying to prepare you for the real pain. Not until I gave birth, mensuration pain use to be a big deal but at this junction, I think I have seen it all.
The best way to define this kind of pain is not in words 😆.

Hola, muy interesante como narras y describes esa llegada de alguien. Al principio no estaba segura ( por la traduccion) si eres un ladrón, un asesino o que, pero cuando colocaste las palabras mágicas de que llegue mes a mes. Jolín, como se me paso.
En lo personal, muy pocas veces he sentido dolor físico ante la menstruación, lo que si me puedes es ocasionar un revolcón de emociones que también causan dolor.

Tengo una esposa y dos hijas jóvenes pero mayores de edad, esos meses díficiles siempre traen más discusiones, el mal carácter aflora como monte en la sabana. Pero bueno, son mujeres y hay que entenderlas por esas cosas que la naturaleza les dotó.
A veces pienso ¿será que es cierto que Eva se comió la manzana prohibida y estará castigada cada mes?
