It was a still night, the wind blew softly and the heavens was littered with stars smiling down on the sons of men. It was a starry night and we basked in the euphoria of the natural breeze blowing through the windows, making us appreciate the wonders of nature and creations
It was a new neighborhood, void of much population in an open vast neighborhood with unsuspecting residents. The environment was so new and open that there was scanty buildings to serve as wind break hence the generous amount of air pouring in through he window cannot be quantified.
It gave us this feeling of relaxation and greatfulness amd the new neighborhood was nothing to compare to where we were coming from. The difference was like from earth to the sky.
We just moved out of our former residence into this new neighborhood and we were basking in the euphoria of its uniqueness and warmth on this particular day without knowing that the night held another plans for the neighborhood.
The compound consisted of six flats with four tenants already remaining two more tenants to take the two remaining spaces. We were living on the second floor and everyone was happy and enjoying our new home.
A shrilled cry woke us up by 4am in the morning. It was the neighbor downstairs. She was screaming top of her voice. Startled we sat up from the bed but was skeptical to make a noise or come downstairs.
Sonnest her husbands voice was heard too and they were shouting. Our curiosity took the order of the day. Our neighbors were just robbed. We didn’t have the nerve to go downstairs at that odd hour. We had to wait for the first break of the dawn.
Very early as the day began to break, we summoned courage to go down and find out what happened and we heard the most bizarre story of the season.
This particular robbery had an element of mystery around it. The spouse began narrating their envounter. The wife said she heard noises over the fence and the sound of a bike engine steaming in the middle of the night.
She didn’t think much about it and she went back to bed. The interesting thing about this robbery is that the robbers came into their home from the back door which was actually locked. The husband and wife was sleeping in the other room as the house is a two bedroom flat.
The thieves entered the other room and turned the room upside down, took their jeweries and money stacked away in their child’s drawer. They carried the television in the living room and all the gadgets. They went to the kitchen and sat down and ate all the food in the kitchen from the pot and took away all their properties.
They carried away all the things that belongs to their couple while they were sleeping in the other room. Can you imagine how bizarre that kind of robbery is. The wife even attested to the fact that she felt she heard the door of the other room bang but they didn’t come out of the room or noticed they were being robbed until the robbers finished and left.
It was then they woke up and noticed they had been robbed under their noses, in their house and they didn’t know? What kind of sleep were they sleeping? How did they not even react to the little noises they claimed they heard during their sleep?
This many questions were going on through our minds and we couldn’t help but wonder. Some believe they were charmed or under the influence of Voodoo or black magic from the robbers. Which ever way you want to reason it, this was the most bizarre robbery I’ve seen. Nobody was hurt but till tomorrow, I can’t help but wonder what a robbery.

You people should take care of your houses and also your neighbours, if something is heard or seen should be obligation of oneself to help others. Robbery is happening in every country and we should stand unite to end this behaviour
