Permit me to say that we live in a time when some ladies wants to be housewives while some don’t. Earlier in the days when growing up, some persons think of house wives as the lazy set of ladies who do not want to do anything serious rather than sitting at home and watching home movies all day.

Funny as that may seem, but that’s not the case. Maybe I had that mindset when I was younger but growing up, I’ve come to see that there’s so much work in been a house wife especially when there are kids to be taken care of.

Am not married but I have people who are my friends who are house wives. House wives not because they don’t want to work but because their hands are so full of responsibilities that they either have to resign from work to take care of their kids or stay back entirely with the agreement from their spouse.

As a grown lady, sometimes I get so much involved in doing the chores at home th at I cry for a break. How much more than a mother of kids who may not even have an extra help at home.

A house wife is married woman who does not work but stay at home fully to take care of the house. There are so much responsibilities laden on the house wife. Most of the house wives have their husband as the bread winner except for those who combine being a house wife and working from home.

The house wife takes care of all the activities in the house ranging from grocery shopping, to cooking, to cleaning and washing or doing the laundry, to dusting, mopping and taking care of the children and husband.

To me the job of the house wife is a tasking one and most times they don’t even get enough break to breathe especially when they have tender children. I have one of my friend who is a house wife and goes to work once in a while. Whenever I call her on phone to talk to her, you would always hear her screaming from the other side of the line to the kids.

They are either cliimbing where they shouldn’t climb or moving what they shouldn’t move or jumping or shouting and she’s literally screaming on the go. Sometimes you would hear her complain she tired, she’s exhausted and needs a break from all the hyper activity going on around her and when husbands comes back home, more responsibilities are added to that of the kids and taking care of the home.

When a house wife has help in the house, It makes the work less stressful. I know some house wives who have some help or nanny living with them in the house. These people help them to do some work around the house and it helps to reduce the stress of whatever they are going through. Then they can be able to do the ones that the help can’t do and then have enough time to take care of themselves too.

I heard a very funny story of a man who was shouting on his wife who was a house wife that she does nothing but sleep all day because she didn’t have time to prepare the exact food he wanted to eat. She was begging him to eat what’s available and she was trying to explain to him that it’s not easy taking care of the house and the two kids and then cooking for him too. He didn’t understand and insinuated that they switch roles the next day.

The wife was to go to the shop and sell while he stayed back at home with the kids. The rest was history. The kids were everywhere, before the day went half, the television set was broken, the entire house was scattered, he didn’t know how to change the baby diapers, he had to cook and by 12pm he was already asking the wife to come home. That ended the long standing argument.

In conclusion, House wives need all the help and support they can get from their husbands, children and people around them.
