Consumers can trace coffee beans through new blockchain app (FoodDive)


A new traceability app using the Farmer Connect traceability platform powered by IBM Blockchain will allow consumer to trace their coffee beans by scanning QR codes on premium single-origin coffee from Folgers as well as other well-known brands in the coming months.

Starbucks launches oat milk drink as vegan movement grows (Reuters)

Starbucks has added an oat milk beverage to its menu which will be available at 1,300 locations in the US Midwest. The company is also launching new beverages made with coconut and almond milk in the US and Canada in a move aimed at tapping into the growing US$1.8bn plant-based milk market.

Nesquik debuts chocolate oat milk GoodNes (FoodDive)


Nestlé's Nesquik is introducing a new beverage brand (GoodNes) which will release a Chocolate Oat Milk option this month. The non-dairy alternative has 40% less sugar than chocolate almond milk.

Plastic packaging ban 'could harm environment' (BBC)

A report conducted by a cross-party Parliamentary group is warning that companies swapping out plastic packaging with other materials may end up causing more harm than good as the consequences of swapping to, for example, glass (which is heavier than plastic) or paper (which tends to have higher carbon emissions than plastic bags) have not been properly assessed yet.

Starbucks have had a Vegan Latte in 7-11 in Denmark for a while now. Maybe even a year.
But it taste like shit xD

I guess Denmark 🇩🇰 is ahead of the trend 😂

Denmark is slow with vegan things if you ask me :p
Sweden is like the place to go for Vegan stuff :D
