Despite IPFS uploading issues to their clusters, fortunately due to the nature of IPFS and how the video.dtube.top gateway loads videos, 3rd party uploaders such as my paid OneLoveIPFS hosting service do exist, that are not controlled by the DTube team.

As DTube is 100% open source, it is possible to clone the infrastructure entirely, e.g. creating a 3rd party interface (like steempeak.com that serves as an alternative to steemit.com) that could be more usable than d.tube.

This is impossible to do on 3speak as it is not open source. Something they have to think about before calling themselves a decentralized platform.
