Sorry to hear about @smallsteps. I truly believe that community and supporting others is where STEEM will shine long term. Being unemployed currently I have very little spare fiat to invest, but I take any other crypto I earn thru faucets and airdrops elsewhere and convert it to STEEM as I see it having the most long term potential. I also have been doing some SE token investing, I have chosen CTP, STEM and SPI as the tokens I am most interested in following.
Everyone has their own life conditions to contend with and I would trade my ability to buy with a healthy daughter any day. The faucets are going to close eventually, and those who had access will likely be very happy they took the opportunity. I pretty much only use the tokens I can earn through posting and curation, I think SPI is different.
