#11 Tron Acquires Steemit | Everything We Know So Far
Hey everyone. After a crazy day and all sorts of wild speculation from the Steem community about what’s going to happen now that Tron and Justin Sun have officially purchased Steemit, Inc., I decided to collect all the information that is available to us and give my opinions on this whole situation.
Please keep this in mind when you listen to this video and also when you hear anyone else in the community talking about this — we have such a small amount of information about this whole ordeal. Aside from a few tweets and 1 non-comprehensive blog post, we haven’t heard much of anything about this deal. We also have gotten 0 response from Steemit, Inc. other than Ned’s 1 tweet in which he called us “Steemitans”, whatever that means.

EDIT — As I was editing and uploading this video, Justin Sun made his first post on the Steem blockchain in which he just reiterates the position of Tron with the goal of bringing value to the Steem community as he and the Steem community now have the aligned goal of increasing the value of the STEEM token.

Price is higher, could be speculation. Usually in the stock and acquisition front, your would get a cash buy out or a transfer of stock. So Tron - TRX is listed at 0.026, so a 10 X transfer, could get 10 times the number of current tokens. But in this case, no new, TRON is at #11, even with this low price. SO does this dilute the TRON tokens? Answers?

i would not like to see the steem tokens swapped for the TRON tokens,they should just let steem to be alone....steem is doing fine by itself...

Will there be a fork? Nope. That will destroy our place not to mention the value of our stakes. Just remain calm.
In the crypto world, not all news in dispersed at the time of the announcement.......Allows the insiders to make the move first, then the minnows have to feed off the scraps.

What a neat report! Big fan.
What we are seeing here, is a working product of decentralization. Anyone can stir the pot. Also seeing negativity, rumors, emotions reminds me of a very well known, similar working, social-platform.

My ideal situation would be a dual blockchain approach and Tron just hooks us up with Tron as another reward but this is because I’m greedy! I mean the logistics I can think of all seem like quite the nightmare to implement since we’re not a dlive or poloniex which you can just buy and migrate and no one knows the difference

Nice video, Tradingview is a cool site. I see Justin's acquisition of Steemit Inc. as a value play. Steemit had neither the funds nor the expertise to see this through and unfortunately, decentralization has been slow at best. Steem is a top 5 chain in terms of potential and better than Tron in many ways, the marriage makes sense though Made a post about Tron 2 years ago. This is great for both of the blockchains but probably better for Steem as it is typically the case for the acquired.
Will be interesting to watch M & A's in Blockchain tech. I see a whole new side of the business here.
after reading the first post from justin sun,it seems he is actually prepared to make steem inc better and make steem to become more valuable,i hope he does not disappoint me concerning my expectation from him...
