As usual: interesting read. I've heard a bit about DeFi but I'm still not very familiar with this term. Thx for sharing all that info.

The global financial system is based on the control of monetary issuance by States.

I wonder .. what about ECB (european central bank)? Part of control over financial system is probably also in their hands.

PAYMENTS SWIFT, in which payments usually take 2 to 5 business days to reach their destination

I've been using transferwise to do international payments and it usually took over one week for money to come from Malaysia to Poland (or other way around).
Somehow they managed to speed things up and now it's taking less than half of that time.

Sometimes I think that funds could be transfered within minutes if banks would only want to ....
