Keep updated with Coingecko's app

Now how many times have you download an app and then totally forgot that you've even downloaded it ? I'm guilty of it and have sometimes even subscribe to an app and paid for 1 year but hardly used it till the renewal comes and you see the charge.

As I've been trading crypto here and there, one of the first things which I do as I wake up is to open up the browser and check for BTC to USD. This is really too much to type early in the morning but I somehow became used to it... untillllll I remembered that I had the Coingecko app.

I've already setup my coins as farvourites however I didn't really use the functions of the app until recently (the things you tend to explore when you are stuck at home eh). Apparently there is a feature where you can set alerts for certain coin/token of interest.

What this alert does is to be able to give you notification if there are sudden movement on the crypto which you are monitoring. This may be a common feature with a lot of other apps but hey .. like I said, there are dozens of apps on my phone which I don't really use.

For me .. it was something which is useful for me as we always want to get into some price action when markets starts to move regardless of its direction.

Like any other apps as well, you do have news section, the only difference would be that these news are from Coingecko itself and not a curated post from Cointelegraph or other news source. At least it gives you a different perspective from a more neutral party.

This part would be handy for those long car drives ( doesn't happen much lately ) where you can just play it thru your car stereo and all interviews are also done by Coingecko themselves.

Summary

Like what I've said earlier, there are tons of apps which I've downloaded and have not really used until I find a need to actually use it. One of the consequences of downloading too many apps could have been the cause of my phone getting compromised which I then had to wipe the entire phone and start once more. This time .. I only download apps and games (gotta have some games right) which I really use.

Anyway .. cheers and do give Coingecko app a real try .. its pretty handy and fast way to get your crypto price updates and alternative crypto news.
