INTRODUCTION
Good day esteemed Steemians, hope you all are having a wonderful time? I amš. I am @young-ancient and I welcome you all to my blog. Today, I would like to make my first science technology & computing post in this wonderful community.
In this post, I will be writing an overview of messaging Apps laying more emphasis on a peculiar App called SLACK. Messaging Apps are simply social media-related platforms/services through which people, communicate, transact or transfer information with each other.
There exist many messaging Apps or services but few popular ones includes Facebook messenger, WhatApp Messenger, Telegram and more. All these messaging services are programmed with distinctive features and are used for different purposes. For example, Slack App is mostly used for business purposes through organizing of chatrooms for business discussions and projects among members of a particular company.
ABOUT SLACK
Slack is a proprietary business communication platform developed by American software company Slack Technologies. Slack offers many IRC-style features, including persistent chat rooms (channels) organized by topic, private groups, and direct messaging. Content, including files, conversations, and people, is all searchable within Slack. Users can add emoji buttons to their messages, on which other users can then click to express their reactions to messages.
The original authors or programmers of this application are Stewart Butterfield, Eric Costello, Cal Henderson, and Serguei Mourachov.
Slack is a freemium product, whose main paid features is the ability to search more than 10,000 archived message. Source

This Application is available for iOS, Android, Mac/Windows, Linux (beta). It is also available for Apple watch which allows users to send direct messages, see mentions, and make simple replies. Slack App is programmed and available in 8 languages which includes; English (UK), English (US), French (France), German (Germany), Japanese, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish (Latin America) & Spanish (Spain). CONCLUSION
Slack app has so far proven to be the best for hosting of company/business meetings effectively among team members. I personally have started using the app for my work with crowywise investment platform.
