As you know, all smartphone brands are competing. Xiaomi and Apple are also participating in this contest. They try to outperform each other considering design and hardware. However, Xiaomi seems to be winning Apple on many aspects. In this article, we'll look at the sides where Apple are lagging behind Xiaomi. Let's compare these two with their latest products Xiaomi mi 10 Ultra/Mi 10T and Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max. Here's a glance at the two devices:

1: Faster charging speed

The charging specification of Xiaomi's latest devices (Mi 10 Ultra, Redmi Note 11 Pro +, Xiaomi 12 Pro, etc.) is 120W. This means that the battery will charge from 0% to 100% in about 24 minutes. However, on the Apple side, you only get 27W charger which supports PD3. Also, it takes about 1 hour and 46 minutes to fully charge the iPhone 13 Pro Max from 0% to 100%. Here Xiaomi is leading with Apple trailing behind. Even if you don't have enough money to buy the flagships, the Xiaomi middle segment also has faster charging speed compared to Apple's, Xiaomi's 27W, 33W, 67W high load speed. Some of these devices are POCO X3 series, POCO F3 series, Redmi Note 11 Pro series.

2: Higher Megapixel Camera

It has been confirmed that Megapixels does not determine the quality of the camera. However, pictures captured on the higher Megapixel devices are more detailed when cropped. This is very useful for organizers after shooting landscape photos.
Moreover, if you use the manual mode, you can still take better pictures than the iPhone due to it's high editing ability.
Although Xiaomi's camera software isn't that good, but there are devices with better hardware than Apple like the Google Pixel 6.

3: Notchless design

Apple users generally have been complaining about it's huge notch, and it is an old design concerning what phones look like now. In addition, games and movies are spoiled because of the huge notch. Xiaomi already manufactures notchless phones such as POCO F2 Pro, Mi 9T Pro and Mi MIX 3. The notchless design enhances the full-screen experience of games and videos. There is also a Xiaomi MIX4 device developed by Xiaomi for a notchless design. The front camera is at the bottom of the screen and is invisible. In this way, you can enjoy a full-screen experience.

4: Always Display (AOD)

Always On Display is a great feature of AMOLED and OLED panels. When the screen is off, you can check the time, steps, notifications and customize MIUI's AOD as you like. But Apple hasn't made any progress concerning this. What's more, it's very sad that the iPhone 13 series has an XDROLED panel, but it doesn't have this feature. Apple needs to continue developing this.

5: Fingerprint

Xiaomi started offering fingerprints many years ago. But for Apple, security is still done only with Face ID. Of course, Apple has a device with fingerprint technology, which was last introduced in 2018. Even if it's not at the bottom of the screen, can't Apple at least incorporate it into the power button as other flagship phones have it? As you know, even the average physical fingerprint sensor is faster than Face ID, which will delay you more if you are wearing a facemask.

6: Higher Refresh rate

Before Apple used 120Hz, Xiaomi offered a refresh rate of 144Hz for some devices (Mi 10T series). 120Hz on an Apple device, is not only lower than the Xiaomi device, but is also far behind in that aspect. Also, Apple does not have an ME/MC (Motion Estimation / Correction) feature. MEMC means that FPS increases from 60 frames per second(FPS) video to 120 / 144Hz. This feature is available on most Xiaomi devices that support high refresh rates.

7: Large battery size

iPhone 13 Pro Max source

Xiaomi started using larger batteries in the Mi10 series that also supports 120W charging. However, Apple has always used less than 4000mAh batteries up to the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Xiaomi used a 4000mAh battery with the Redmi Note 4 released five years ago when Apple hasn't used a battery of this size yet. Logically, this has a big impact on screen time, Redmi device above while iPhone 13 Pro Max trails below.

Conclusion

Of course, Xiaomi isn't superior to Apple or is Apple superior to Xiaomi in every way. Some devices have higher screen refresh rates, but some have much better video performance. However, Apple is still late and making incomplete improvements. Apple uses 120Hz and Xiaomi uses 144Hz. Xiaomi relies on a battery of almost 5000mAh, but Apple has only recently reached about 4300mAh. In addition, it only supports a charging speed of 27W. Apple needs to fix these issues.

Well detailed, xiaomi phone is really getting the game on as world best phone

Certainly Bro, there's more to phones than just hardware.

Yes there is, I believe you

I agree with you that Apple phones have some features they are lacking in and need to improve.

They've even decided not to add the charger in the box.

There're no 2 ways about it

Xiaomi are rightly leading the phone industry now after Samsung

I use their products and they're perfectly okay

Without a doubt, the mi 11 even has a screen on the back.

Hmmm, so we are not the only ones contesting, even mere phones! Hahaha, from your well detailed explanation, xiaomi is leading ooo and its very costly. Just few days ago, my younger bros bought one at the price of #155,000.

You're right, Xiaomi phones are kinda costly, but considering the build quality it's acceptable.
