Bojár Gábor (born 1949 in Budapest) is a Hungarian entrepreneur and the founder of Graphisoft, a CAD company specializing in AEC (architecture, engineering, and construction). In 2007, German Nemetschek AG bought Graphisoft.

He graduated from Eötvös Loránd University with a physics degree in 1973. In the late 1970s, Bojár began his professional career at the state geophysics institute. When his modeling software was no longer funded by the institute in 1980, he left and began working as a programmer abroad with his student colleague Ulrich Zimmer.

Bojár was the founder and president-CEO of Graphisoft from 1982 to 2007. Bojár and Zimmer founded the company in 1982 to assist the Hungarian Ministry of Power in resolving a severe problem with the installation of a Soviet nuclear power plant. They addressed the challenge at night using the geophysics institute's computers and were given $30,000 for their software's 300 engineering maps and drawings.
Following that, the business rewrote its software for the Apple Lisa, which was a financial failure but kept the company alive throughout the 1980s.
Graphisoft continued to expand globally in the 1990s, finally being acquired by Nemetschek AG, a renowned German firm in the area, in 2007.
Under Bojár’s direction, Graphisoft grew from a two-person start-up to the global market leader in 3D building modeling software, with over 300 employees and revenues that increased from $30.000 in 1982 to an anticipated $33 million in 2018.
Bojár appointed Ray Small as the company’s new CEO in 2002, while remaining active as chairman and in control of Graphisoft’s overall strategy.
Awards and recognitions
Bojár has won numerous accolades and prizes at both the national and international levels. In 2007, Ernst & Young recognized him Entrepreneur of the Year, and AmCham Hungary honored him with the Iván Völgyes Award in 2014.
The Order of Merit of the Republic of Hungary was bestowed upon Bojár.

Can't hold what am feeling as I read through this write up, just imagining how he got started but he scale through. Is good to walk with people with like minded, with this I must say that everything is possible to achieve. Thanks for sharing.
I have not heard of this man's name before but I know there are millions of geniuses out there who are not really noticed. One significant thing I take not of about this man is his achievement. Which is graphisoft. Thank you for writing about him. I know him now
