Greetings

Hello friends, how have you been, I hope you all are fine. Am glad to bring you my my own account of how the Day 8 of the road show went. Please stay with me.
After been kept down and away by ill-helth for about 9days I am happy to have re-joined my friends and fellow volunteer promoters to promote steemit along the the streets of Aba yet again today.

Road Show @ Bata

Today, Our choice spot for the promotion is Bata This is a very busy spot that has a T-Junction with very Heavy human and vehicular movements. Soon after we arrived, it started raining, we quickly ran to safety and continued talking to people. At this place we found it a little more easier and had more time to talk to all that came to safety with us. Because no one was in a hurry again till after the rain.
This is the second time we are choosing this spot for this steem promotion, the first time was huge and we thought we still had lots of prospects at the junction. Even after what the rain did, am sure we will be back to this spot again.

My Personal Efforts

As usual, most people we approach are in a hurry or uninterested for one reason or the others. But we kept on the spirit until I got a this young man whom I was able to convince after lots of talking.

When he accepted to give Steemit a try, I profiled him using my phone because his own phone had no data. His username is @wiseking01. I also thought him how he can make his introductory post.

I got the attention of @samuel20 to add him to a welcome whatsapp group where new users are welcomed and thought the basics they need to know. @samuel also helped to encourage him to ensure he takes Steemit seriously (by trying to create good contents always and consistently) as that's the only guarantee to success on this platform.

Refreshment

After the heavey rains, there were very skeletal movements of people and as a result, we thought it wise to close and try again another day. We branched over a fast food by the corner where we stayed and shared snacks and a few pictures, then we departed to our homes.

In conclusion , I wille to appreciate all the members of the volunteer team who have always made effort to drive this project. I also want to thank our leader @focusnow for this initiative and for always leading by example. My thanks also goes to @stephenkendal for supporting this project, all of us in @steemalive are grateful.
