7 Days writing challenge: Day 6: A trip to my favourites market by @udyliciouz
Good evening everyone, welcome to my day 6 of 7 days Writing Challenge organized by @steemalive. Today I will be talking about my favourite market.
My favourite market
The name of my favourite market is Itam International market.
Market location
Itam International market is located at Itam Junction, Ekit Itam II, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.
Goods bought in the market
I bought so many goods in the market and am going to show you few of the many goods I bought.
Some of the items I bought in the market
S/N | Items | Price in Naira | Price in Steem |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Grey fish | 1500 | 5 |
2 | Maggi | 300 | 1 |
3 | Onga | 150 | 0.5 |
4 | Groundnut | 300 | 1 |
5 | African oil beans | 300 | 1 |
Why Itam International market is my favourite
Itam International market is my favourite market because 40% of traders comes from Aba, selling thier goods at (Aba price) reducing the need for a trip to Aba to buy things. That is to say the people coming from Aba to sell thier goods at cheaper prices compare to sellers here in Akwa Ibom State. One of the advantage is that the availability of more goods provide me with options to choose from. The availability of more goods makes the price comparatively cheap.
Aside from the schedule market days that is once a week you can still buy things from Itam International market on a normal day. It is also sold on daily basis which make the market not to be empty.
Any other thing
Itam international market is nickname "Itamic boutique" by some ladies and University female students. Reason being that they will buy durable and cheaper clothes, shoes and handbags at Itam market, they will end up spending less money to get more items than the would if going to the boutique.
Itam International market is a large market with people selling things in large quantities. You can find so many things if not everything that you want ranging from food stuff to clothes, bags, shoes, meat, electronics and kitchen utensils.
You are welcome to see the market for yourself as it's scheduled to sell on Wednesday, September 1, 2021.
Thank you all for reading through.
