Transportation can be defined as a means whereby people and goods moved from one place to another.transportation is one of the aids to trade and a branch of commerce plays a very crucial role in the world of commerce.transportation is divided into land, water,air,and pipeline.

Transportation by pipeline: this is a means of transporting liquid goods for example oil,(petroleum)gas through pipeline under the ground etc.

Transportation by land: is a means whereby people and goods are moved from one place to another through land. This is one of the commonest means of transportation and mainly used in home trade.

Transportation encourage trade between one country and another.
Transportation prevent waste because, perishable and surplus goods will get rotten when they were produced.
Transportation helps us to improve the standard of living of the people in the country.
It facilitate efficient movements of productive resources.

Cost:no matter how advantageous any means of transport may be, it's cost plays a crucial role in determining whether it will be chosen for the transportation of goods and people.
Distance: means of transport used in transporting people and goods wihin a country, might not be the same when another country is involved because of distance.

How to solve problems of transportation
Road sings should be placed at majors location.
Road user should be educated on the use of the road and road signs.
Government should help to repair damage road.
Drivers should not drink before driving.
Traffic offended should be punished.
