Introduction

Several ladies often wear wigs without knowing that they can actually ventilate closures on their own.
What is a wig closure?
Closures are pieces of hairs constructed on a net in other To make it look like like the natural hair.

What is Wig Ventilation
Wig ventilation generally is the fixing of individual strands of hairs into a wig net and knitting it afterwards.

Instruments Used in Wig Ventilation

  1. Ventilating needle
  2. Hair Combs
  3. Tape
  4. Scissors
  5. Wig head
  6. Human or synthetic hair
  7. Wig lace/net
  8. Spray bottle
  9. Push pins

Uses

1. Ventilating Needles

Ventilating pin

The ventilating needles is made with a stainless steel. The ventilating needles are used by both beginners and expects to pick hair strains and insert into the closure net.

2. Hair Comb

The hair comb helps in the arrangement of the hair. The comb is usually used to keep the wig straight.

3. Tape

The tape is used to measure the width of the closure, it helps to make the closure straight without mistakes.

4. Scissors

Scissors

The scissors is used to cut the wig strands into smaller sizes. It also helps to cut off tangled edges.

5. Wig head

Wig head

The wig head is also known as a doll head. It is used to hold the wig net during the Ventilation process.

6. Human or Synthetic Hair

Human hair

During closure Ventilation, the human or synthetic hairs are usually separated into single strands.

7. Wig Lace or Net

The wig lace or net is a small piece of material with tiny holes which is used to hold the strands of hairs together.

8. Spray Bottle

The spray bottle is used to put a certain quantity of water which is used to spray on the closure hair to make it relaxed.

9. Push pins

The push pins are small colorful pins which are pushed into the closure whilst on the wig head, in order to hold them together.

Ventilation Procedure

  1. Separate your hairs into single strands
  2. Place the lace on the wig head
  3. Insert the push pins from the net into the wig head.
  4. Use a measuring tape to measure the weight so as to know where the center line would be.
  5. Use the Ventilating needle to pick the hair and pass two strands of hairs each
  6. Rotate and wrap it around the hairs and pull it through the loop.

Ventilation process

Conclusion

Closure ventilation is actually a very strenuous and time consuming activity. But if one understands it properly, it helps to save cost.
