UMUAHIA DAY TWO ROAD SHOW : I actively participated in promoting steem in the University on 18/09/2021, here are the details by @tripplem. Post set at 10% beneficiary to @steemalive

INTRODUCTION

Hello everyone, I am excited to inform you all that I actively participated in the steemit promotion through Umuahia roadshow day 2 held on the 18th of September 2021 at Micheal Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike. what3words
We converged in the university stadium where we decided to add a twist in our location this time just to be fair with Nature and gender. Remember that the first roadshow, we visited the female hostel, now this second roadshow, we visited the male hostel. So we moved from the University’s (MOUAU) stadium To their male hostel.

FROM MOUAU STADIUM TO MALE HOSTEL

On our way to the male hostel we took some pictures, we had an external steemian @basky14 that came all the way from Asaba to witness the roadshow. We even started promoting steemit before we got to the male hostel because we went on foot so we made use of the opportunity to start our awareness.

MY PERSONAL EFFORT

We arrived the venue, distributed fliers amongst us and started proper steem promotion.
As for me, I met with my first prospect with his friends, and told them everything they need to know about steemit.
It took quite a while convincing them though as they were asking series of questions about the community and what it had to offer, and I politely kept answering them. After a while my session with them was over. I took their numbers for follow up since they were still skeptical about registering. I also gave them the fliers to serve as a reminder with an available phone number they can reach me with.
I met with my second prospect and other prospects also, and I continued preaching the good news about steemit, and also gave out my number to the ones that indicated interest but still want to check out the site since it’s probably their first time hearing about it.
It became cloudy and we brought the roadshow to an abrupt end, after almost 3 hours of promotion.

I don’t have much picture of I and my prospects because majority of them declined to take a picture.

REFRESHMENT

From our location we went to a nearby eatry for light refreshment and there we met @whitestallion and @pricelesspresh. @whitestallion paid for all our meals and we had a good time.
As I was enjoying my meal, I noticed a beautiful young lady beside me and I was led to introduce her to the community which I did, and with little Time of talking, she indicated interest and I registered her there and then abandoning my food . Her username is @princessjane and I am yet to guide her though for her achievement 1 post because she was having network issue with her phone. But hopefully before Monday runs out, she will make her achievement post.

CONCLUSION

I will say that the Umuahia Day 2 roadshow was successful because people indicated interests and were registered by my fellow steemians that also went for the road show, and we still have the contacts of prospects that are yet to become members also.
I want to commend the efforts of @ladyofpolicy for trying to make Umuahia steemians to become active steemit promoters.
We still had the issue of nonchalancy from other prospects and some refused to have their pictures taken also, but at least they gave us listening ear more than the ladies at ladies hostel.
