From what I researched on, all I can say is that Thomas Edison is a product of from grass to grace because he was just a bit that sold candies and newspapers along train road until he saved the life of a three year old Jimmie MacKenzie from being strucked by a train and in return her father took interest in him and trained him to be a Telegraph operator and that was how his career began. He kept improving and kept developing till he started his inventions.
Nelson Mandela from my findings Was a determined man that didn’t allow anything to stop him, though he was imprisoned twice while seeking for justice and even sent ok a life imprisonment, it still didn’t stop him from fighting . He became the First president of South Africa on 10 May 1994 – 16 June 1999. He refused a second tenure which many president can’t even do because he believed in doin the right thing alone , and he was succeeded by his deputy.
Mandela was an elder statesman and he focused on combating poverty and HIV/AIDS through the charitable Nelson Mandela Foundation.
He was Widely regarded as an icon of democracy and social justice, he received more than 250 honours, including the Nobel Peace Prize.
I cannot share all the above 250 honors so I Will just share a link to the honors
I chose NELSON MANDELA because he was a true LEADER. The impact of his tenure was felt globally . He taught against poverty and hiv/aids so earnestly and he was an activist Asa philanthropist. He was accessible and truly a leader who listens to his people. The movie “Sarafina” was made in memory/honor of him.
His zeal, his Passion, his courage , his leadership skills , his perseverance, …. are the things I would love to copy from him.
Thanks for reading
Nelson Mandela, A true hero and victor. Growing up he stood as a model for me, his stories precedes him. His fight for his people and impact in the world will be remembered for generations to come. A wonderful choice writeup @tripplem
