TAYA SMITH as popularly called known by her stage name is an Australian Female Gospel Singer and Lead vocalist with Hillsong United. She was born on the 10th of May, 1989 in New South Wales, Australia But hails from Lismore, a country town in the north of Australia.
She got married to Ben Gaukrodger on the 22nd of March, 2018 in Sydney, Australia, the ceremony was officiated by one of her band mate in Hillsong United Jonathan Douglass popularly known as JD in a private church.

CAREER ACHIEVEMENTS-

In 2010 she relocated to Sydney set to pursue her music career and began volunteering in Hillsong Church City Campus Creative Team and in the Youth, Young Adults Department.
She has distinguished the Joy factor joining Hillsong Church City Campus that nothing is compared to singing in church as she has done other secular jobs.

Her Song "Oceans (where feet may fail)" won many awards at the 2014 GMA Dove Awards-

Taya Smith’s musical career with Hillsong became a major breakthrough in February 2013.
She was chosen as a member of the church’s creative team and loaded with the responsibilities of managing the vocal team, bringing about productivity during youth adult events, also establishing standard vocals in major Hillsong events, and touring with Hillsong musical band, UNITED.

Taya is most passionate about worship that points people to Jesus and this is a thrilling part of what she does.
She is specifically loved for captivating the hearts of believers across the world with her melodious vocals and enthusiasm.
She always shares her passion for life, Jesus, worship and people, she pours her heart literally into leading people in worship.
She is exceptional in what she does and has stood up admist all.
I love Taya so much, her songs are usually on repeat when I pray. I love the creativity, band cordination, vocal texture, vibrance and Ambience of her Music.
