Water is an organic chemical compound that is tasteless, transparent, odourless and nearly colorless that is composed of 2 atoms of Hydrogen and 1 atom of Oxygen. That is why it is chemically referred to as H2O.
Water is one of the most abundant and important compound to Humans. It can come in various forms either, liquid, solid or gaseous as determined by its temperature.
Water has the ability to dissolve many other substances and that is why it is referred to as the universal solvent.
Although its formula H2O seems simple, water exhibits very complex chemical and physical properties.

Water is lighter in Solid state than in Liquid state
Except Mercury, Water conducts heat more than any other liquid
In natural State, pure water is neither acidic or basic

Water has a boiling point, 100 °C (212 °F)which is much higher than would be expected by comparison with compounds like hydrogen sulfide and ammonia.
