Greetings, I feel delighted to write this fantastic enlightenment post concerning drug abuse.
Drugs are vital to human life today since we face many health challenges and they are used to cure these ailments and restore our normal health. Sadly, some people today abuse drugs.
Drug abuse
Drug Abuse refers to the intake or usage of drugs whether soft or hard without the doctor's prescription, advice, or recommendation. Self-medication is also involved in drug abuse. Regular intake of addictive items like marijuana, cigarette, alcohol, and Indian hemp is also a form of drug abuse.
In what ways have you observed people abuse drugs?
Today, I have seen many people misusing drugs in so many ways. This involves:
Reasons why drug abuse is common
Lack of Orientation: Many people today do not know the negative effects of drug abuse, that is why they have given in to such acts.
Peer Pressure: Most youths today take hard drugs today because they see their mates doing so. They take these drugs for them to feel among and in turn, they become addicted to them.
Ignorance: Ignorance is a very deadly disease that is also affecting many drug abusers. Many people know the effects of drug abuse but they purposely have decided to continue with the abuse.
Depression: Some people take hard drugs when they feel downhearted or depressed so that they can get high or feel happy again. Sadly, intake of hard drugs is not a cure for depression.
What are the harmful effects of drug abuse?
Ways of preventing or even eliminating drug abuse
It can be prevented in so many ways like:
Enlightenment: Some people have limited or even no knowledge about the harmful effects of drugs, therefore, they need to be taught about it. This will stop them from abusing drugs.
Government ban: The government should ban those addictive or hard drugs and stop people from selling them. In this way, the drugs will not be available for those abusers to see them and consume.
Punishing Law offenders: After banning the drugs, proper action should be taken to enforce it by punishing people that still sell and take these hard drugs.
What else can you write about drug abuse?
Many cases of mental disorder in the world today is caused by the intake of hard drugs. Therefore, drug abuse is never the right thing to do. In cases of depression, a good meal or discussion with good friends can help relieve the body of thoughts and not alcohol.
Additionally, some drugs or addictive items like alcohol should not be sold to people who are not mature or old enough to take them. This precaution will help to stop young ones from getting to take alcohol when they are not eligible to do so.
Impressive writeup on drug abuse. I really agree with you that lack of orientation is one of the big reasons people - especially young people get into drugs. Am sure if more awareness is created by the government and other private agencies, some young people would not get involved in drug abuse.

Very correct but unfortunately it isn't so. The dealers in their bid to make sales do not care whether they are underaged or not. Some parents even give alcohol to their children to drink.

Yes dear dealers has no mercy for the poor peoples Drugs like cocaine, heroin, meth, and more are ruining people's lives and making the world a worse place.
Yes dear you are right The government should ban all of those addictive or hard drugs because they are dangerous and they are causing so much destruction in the world . I believe that the government should do something because it is not fair that so many people are dying from drugs.

Drug abuse is really a bad thing as it comes with many side effects dn whicheans that we should be very careful so that we can not fall victim of it.

Drug abuse is an ill wind that blows no one any good. Continuous sensitization programs on the effects of drug abuse should be carried out by all the agencies concerned, above all should be involved in this fight.
