The Diary Game - Supervising carpentry work in my apartment(9th April 2022)

Hello steem lover,

I know you all are doing amazing. Over here in lagos state the weather seems friendly. I guess because it rained in the morning. I find it very exciting sharing my diary with you all and today is not an exception as am here to share with you how my day went.

Morning Activities

My sleep was cut short due to the sound of the heavy rain. I had to wake up quickly to by 6:30am in other to close up the edge of my door where droplets of water usually enters my room from when it rains heavily. When i was done fixing the the edge of the door. I went back to bed. I finally woke up by 8am by then the rain that stopped so i quickly went to my prayer place to pray. In my prayer place i thanked God for his many blessings and his mercies on my life. By 10am i was done with my prayers.

I put a call across to a carpenter who is suppose to come fix my window net and door net because i was already frustrated with always waking up or staying awake anytime its raining. I had already invited the carpenter the previous day to come take measurement of the things i wanted him to do. When when i called him this morning to remind him that he was meant to be here, he said he was already on his way. The previous day he told me he will be at my apartment by 9am but he didnt come at that time.

I waited for the carpenter until it was 11am and he came. I wanted to go out but i decided to stay back at home to supervise his job. I wanted to be sure he would do it well.

Afternoon Activities

By 12:30pm the carpenter was not done with the work, aside coming late, he is an elderly man therefore, he takes his time doing the work, which made it slow.

I noticed the carpenter's phone kept ringing at every point, so i refused to leave his sight before he leaves my work for another. He even had to ask if i was not going out? I told him i changed my mind.

After he finished fixing the net on the frame it was time to fix it on the window. He actually fix two kinds of net on the frame, one net was tiny while the other wasnt.

Finally he was done with the window net by 2pm. He told me that let him go and get the door net, he said he has finished working on it. I agreed for him to go and get it but i asked him when he is coming back and he said soon

I kept waiting for the carpenter until it was 3pm but he didnt come back. I called his line, it took him time before he picked and said he on his way. By 4pm i decided to visit a gotv agent office, in other to go complain about my subscription made the previous day, yet the channels are not showing. When i got to the agent office i made my complains and i was told what to do when i get home. I left the office by 4:55pm.

Night Activities

On my way home, i saw some a road side vendor that sells fried potatoes with fried yam and fried chicken. The sight of it made me remember i have not eaten. I stopped to ask them how much it was sold and i was told that the fried potatoes and fried yam cost 10 naira for each one which is far less tha one steem. And the chicken cost 200 naira which is 1.5 steem. I bought fried yam and potatoes for 150 naira which is 1 steem* and a piece of the chicken for 200 naira which is 1.5steem everytjing i bought cost 2.5 steem

When i got home by 6:45pm, i asked if the carpenter came back and i was told he did not, that was when i realised he had deceived me. He charged me 18000 naira for the job which is about 120 steem i paid him in full i guess that was the mistake i made. I called him on phone and he didnt pick.

While i was upset, i just needed to make sure my gotv was working so i switched it on to do what i was told. At first it started scanning for signals, from there it came on. I felt excited that atleast i achieved something.

I sat down to enjoy my fries and chicken while i sat down to watch tv drama. By 9am i went online to chat with some friends and i made some calls too. I became sleepy by 10pm but i needed to drop this post before going to bed so i started making the post. After now i will be going to bed.

Conclusion

I am glad i was able to achieve alot today, even though the carpenter wanted to spoil my day. I have been hearing that people who work with their hands always disappoints their customers today i experienced it. I would like to know what you think about people with hand work and them disappointing customers in my comment section.
