Introduction

hello belove friends am so happy to see you all increase again how are you all doing I hope things are moving as it should be I here to discuss onTopic 5: Family inheritance - How to handle it and protect future generations? !this will be so so interesting and I hope that you all will enjoy reading this I also had promised my self that I will perform well in this contest family inheritance are mostly important in igbe land I will like to invite @graceani @deben @chukwu10 and many more to join this beautiful contest see you all in my next entry

meaning of family inhertance

family inheritance is being done mostly by the igbos and it is one of our tradition whenever someone dies all his property will be shifted to his biological children/child. this can be seen as the moving or passing of property own by parents to their offspring/childern what normally bring about this is death in every family children normally inherit their parents property also parent mostly the father normally write what is know as wills this is based or written on how he has shared his property to his children parents normally write this at the time of their old age or in time if sickness or any other disease that can leads to death

How is the family property shared in your hometown?

in my town which is akwuzu in anambra state we normally shares our family property based on the age grade in sharing of the property is parents do not write their will on how the shared third property to their children we normally shared based on age grade from the highest or eldest to the lowest or youngest in the family in sharing of the property the eldeest will first choose while the younger continue choosing . so in a situation where the parents wrote a will before the die it property must be shared as it was written on the wills and nothing can stop because it has being stamp and hand over to the barrester or and government bodies this one is normally accepted in my town and this is the proper way of sharing property parents are all to write will on how to share thier property properly in my town if their is any crisis between the family members when sharing their property we must invite the igwe/eze elders onowu which is the assistant igwe/eze also the ezemuoo(chelf priest) is also calledthe are called if the family members are struggling and killing their selve in sharing if their property

What challenges have you seen when parents (especially the father) is no longer there?

yeah there are many challenges if a father is no longer alive as for example since my father's death things has changed to no good since then things has been so so difficult for us but by the grace if God and his help we are still living fine I any family where their is no longer father firstly the family will like orderliness father almost try their best to.make sure that their family are well ordered and organized in a family where are is no longer father is will be so so difficult for them such as their children will drop out from school they also lack balance diet in their body because of lack of food also theit will be insult gotten from neighbors and many person many difficult things will all fall upon that family

What steps should parents take when they are still alive to prevent fights when they are gone

  • teaching their children more off good morals
  • organizing the father in an orderly manner or ways
  • providing of basic needs in the family I think this will go a long way
  • teaching their children how to live a good and diciplined life's
  • making the family to live in peace harmony caring and having love fir6 each other
  • writing of wills on how their property used be shared propely this is important in every family

Do people in your hometown respect father's will?

in my town you dear not disobey father's will in the family the father us like a lion and anyone that dears him will be punish severly if you dear disobey your father's will in the highest level you will be punished by the ezemuoo+chief priest or the king also.by the elders anything the father ordered or command must be done at the procedure and no one can stop.it except him in terms of sharing of property in a situation where the father wrote the will of his property and how it will be shared no one can be able or stand to change it if he or she trys the will be punished by the chief priest and the igwe on how he wrote the wiolss that's the procedure taking to sahre his property and nothing can change it father will are highly respected in my town the father are more like God in each family whatever the said that's what everyone will do no matter what happens

What you said about what parents should teach their children is outstanding. Yes, if children learn good morals, it will help them to share inheritance without killing one another.
Again, am really sorry for the lost of your father.your participation in this contest is highly appreciated.
