Decency: What it means to me.

We are here again. I welcome you all to another interesting episode in my blog. Enjoy your stay!

Am here to talk about an interesting topic that spreads across male and female. Even though some people tends to talk about it in the area of females more... reasons best known to them; after all everyone is entitled to his or her opinion so, we won't hold it against anyone for his/her opinion.

DECENCY: what is it anyways?

Oxford Advanced Learners Dictionary defines it as honest, polite, behaviour that follows accepted moral standards and shows respect for others.
Also, it sees it as standards of behaviour in society that people think are acceptable.....wooww!

In other words, decency does not just end in character or fashion alone. It cuts across so many human traits ...

• Honesty - this I believe deals with inner being of a man(not gender selective here). Being trusted in all things.
  How we display our inner man.
• Polite - words. How we speak.
  Being able to coordinate our words in a manner it won't 'kill' even when its hurts is meant to correct.
• Behaviour - I see is attitudes, character. What actually that defines you and who you are or represent.
• Acceptable moral standards - this talks about discipline. Standing on who you are or represent at all cost and acting it out anywhere, anytime. Simply put, living up to expectations...for your family, group, society and yourself most importantly.
  And finally,
• Showing respect for others - acknowledging other people. Knowing and putting your fellow human into considerations before acting. Having a second thoughts towards that thing you want to say to your fellow human.

This has said it all. So, to me, Decency is not just dressing well... Putting on that expensive dress, shoe, bag, what have you...but it concerns so many things about us; in and out.

You can not say you are decent when your words are like a sharp butcher's knife...it leaves your mouth without a second thought. Little wonder why the Bible says we should brindle our tongue.

One man's food is another man's poison doesn't come to play in decency.

You cannot say you are decent when your dirty inner Clothe is steering on the faces of others.

How can you talk about decency when what affect others is not your business?

To be decent; arrange your hair, clothes, words, attitude, character, thoughts ...then our world will be the best place. THANKS!
