We all make plans for our future which involves goals we really yearn to achieve in our lifetime. When me make life goals ahead of time, there's a greater possibility or chance that such goals can be achieved within a set period. Sadly some of these goals do not get realized due to unexpected occurrences, change in decision making etc. I've got my bucket list and below are just some of them;

• Learn a skill

• Further my education

• Visiting bethel

• Go on a tour in my dream country

• Get married

I totally understand some might be wondering what my 3rd bucket list mean. Don't panic, that's the more reason I wanna explain, let's now take them one after the other

Learning a skill

Skill acquisition is a very important goal that should be achieved, in a country where unemployment is on the increase, we need to supply without white collar jobs. Skill acquisition helps us to be independent and creative, we tend to use our hands judiciously in order to put food on our table. Many graduates are now feeding from hand to mouth because they didn't acquire a skill before furthering their education, actually I'm planning on acquiring a skill any moment from now.

Furthering my education

Furthering my education is another goal I would want to achieve, it is very true that many are successful without furthering their education but as the first child, my dad insisted I must see the four walls of higher institution. For peace to reign, I think I'll just get a degree then proceed to achieve my other goals, this one that ASUU is on strike, I don't know for them again ooo. I think this particular goal will be realized next year by God's grace when I'll turn 19.

Visiting bethel

It's actually this part that seems strange to my fellow steemians, bethel is an Hebrew word which means "house of God". It is a place where people from all works of life meet together to enhance spiritual activities. Bethel is an headquarter of Jehovah's witnesses at New York where spiritual proceedings are being carried out such as printing the Bible, making Bible based videos, training others in a particular field. Bethel has many branches and I will really want to visit that place in future, I actually want to go there when I'm still young and vibrant maybe at 20/21 years of age.

Going on a tour in my dream country

I've never left Nigeria ooo, I've had a liking for Dubai and nurtured this tendency of visiting it someday for tourism. Sightseeing and tourism increases our appreciation for God's creation and the many intriguing tales have heard about Dubai is just so sweet to the ear. It is true that seeing is believing and I wanna go see things out for myself maybe 2 years from now.

Getting married

Every teenage girl have this dream of getting married when they come of age. Everyone wants to have a family of their own, in my hometown, when a grown up teenager of marriageable age fails to get married, she becomes a laughing stock to the society. Marriage is divine and everyone are liable to it, when one is married, he /she has the hope of fulfilling God's commandments to fill the earth and become many. Getting married at any sensible age is okay but at 25 much more agreeable.

To achieve set goals isn't always easy oooo, we've got some challenges to tackle and below are some of the problems I might face in order to achieve my bucket list:

1. In the case of skill acquisition, the demands are always so huge. One has to pay a huge fee and add other items like drinks, groundnut, biscuits etc to the boss, affording this amount of money is always a challenge that's why many opt to earn monthly salary to gather enough money

2. Furthering education in today's world might be termed as futile because there are no valid differences between graduates and others. The alarming rates of unemployment and strikes are also discouraging

3. To visit bethel, one must be spiritually minded as the opportunity is not open to just everyone, it might be disheartening that one can't meet the requirements

4. Me that is planning to go on tour to Dubai, can I afford it? The visas and traveling procedures that might take sometime to be processed, will I be able to follow it up? Who do I know in Dubai? When I get there, how will I start?
These could be troubling as well.

5. Finding a suitable marriage mate is always tedious and needs carefulness. Pressures from family members and friends could lead to one making the wrong decision

I can't say I can achieve the above goals of mine but I just wanna be optimistic and try best in all I do. With determination and God's grace all goals are achievable.

It's the "end of a matter that counts more". Our ability to achieve set goals does not mean we achieved those goals due to our hardwork, perseverance or determination. When we are successful, we should not fail to direct all credit to God, the maker of all impossibilities possible.
