Thousands of people move from one place to another due to personal reasons, these movement either increase or decrease the population of a particular geographical area therefore the migration or moving into a particular state or country by non native individuals could be said to be immigration hence the individuals involved in this act are known as immigrants.

Reasons why people leave their country to travel and settle in another country.

Many leave their countries due to many personal reasons, some of which are;

1. Poverty; many migrate to other countries in search of greener pastures and we'll paying jobs to cater for themselves

2. To escape from war zones; many refugees we see nowadays flee from their home to a safer environment to protect themselves from being victims of war stampede

3. Marriage ties; this normally takes place in feminine cases as the bride is expected to follow her groom to his abode which may be in another country

4. Educational career; most people especially the youths do migrate to other countries so as to further their education

5. High living standard; many people especially teenagers prefer starting their lives in places that are less demanding economically hence the immigration

What are some challenges faced by immigrants?

I. Language barrier; many immigrants who settle in other countries find it difficult communicating and expressing themselves in the foreign dialect

II. Difficulty in employment opportunities; many Immigrants find it difficult to get employed, hence they start off with the meagre work available

III. Accomodation problems; immigrants find it very difficult to find suitable shelter over their heads little wonder they roam about in their new cities and pass the night under bridges

IV. Prejudice; as commoners, the immigrants might be treated as inferior by the legal citizens of the country thus making life unbearable for them

Other challenges are;

• Difficulty finding transportation services
• Raising children amongst foreigners
• Adapting to new culture

Immigration has a whole lot involved in it, na condition dey make crayfish bend oooo so if we happen to see immigrants around us, we should not in any way harrass them, we might be in their shoes someday.
