Good evening guys, hope you're all having a blissful weekend. Today's Saturday and as usual, steemians in my locality (known as the team goal-getters) normally meet by 4pm @24 mbak road, ifa Atai big junction, Uyo. That's actually where the steemit branch is located. Although everyone didn't turn up today, I'm glad that many did show up at the center for our usual training sessions. Among the participants of the training were;👇

The participants amounted to 6 individuals in total. When I arrived the location, I met @okere-blessing and @uduakabraham sitted already, we exchanged pleasantries and waited for the class to begin proper. @ijelady wasn't available to start the class due to some form of emergency but was glad that the class was ongoing when she later arrived, @chichieze had started off with already.

Normally, our training sessions are always hosted and organized by our coach @ijelady with @chichieze at standby to render any needed assistance.

The meeting kicked off with a congratulatory message to one of us @okere-blessing who merited STC01 vote yesterday, she was very excited and decided to give gifts of airtime to us all, that's mine as you can see above. She promised to come with her MP3 player but maybe she forgot.

We actually made a complaint that the projects in the community was tasking and much, that's where @chichieze analyzed that they were for our own benefit, example is the #4times7 engagement on the daily Top 4 posts in which we now earn from our comments.

@ijelady arrived just on time to explain the "contest digest" project which promotes and showcases 7 quality posts of @steemalive members weekly. She encouraged us to be participants of this project and put in our very best to ensure its success.

She further analyzed the steem business directory project which was introduced today by @focusnow, it is similar to the "sell more" with steem project. She encouraged us to look presentable when introducing this project to business owners around us helping them know they can actually advertise their businesses here on steemit without paying a dime. She also said that business owners who showed interest could be added to the "sell more" WhatsApp group She really emphasized on getting receipts for any item we purchase at a business center as it will make our business review original and true.

Our coach did say a whole lot of which I can't narrate, she spoke at length about the use of free images and their links, why our thumbnail images should take the landscape format and our post quality/content length of not less than 300 words

It pleases me that qualifiers of the "food for thought" project will be getting their prizes on the 26th of this month of which I'm among, I'll wear agbada on that day 😁.

As you can see from the above picture, our coach @ijelady made refreshments available for us. We were now listening to the training with our soft drinks to help us digest every bit of what was said. @ijelady thanks ma'am, you're a darling.

Meetups are very important and essential for us steemians especially because;

• When we meet together, there's a greater chance of getting well acquainted with other steemians around us, we get to meet them face-to-face. I actually met @uduakabrahan for the first time today.

• At meetups, we learn from others. Even if we're experts, we do not know everything, hence trainings teach and educates us

• We make suggestions and bring out new ideas that leads to the betterment of the community

• We're corrected at trainings and tackle problems/challenges jointly as a group

"Iron sharpens iron" and we're each other's back bone. Our being available at trainings shows that we are not only willing to learn but we support the arrangements of the steemit family and are aimed at ensuring its growth, development and progress.
