"Everything that glitters, is not gold" is a short, witty and proverbial saying/idiom which when analyzed adds meaning to our lives and teaches a moral lesson. I actually wanna drop a true life story of an incident which demonstrates the above saying, please pay rapt attention.
A glittery life
While in high school, I had this friend of mine who was the class rep, Mystery as that was her name was endowed with beauty, she had a fair skin and was loved by all. We both shared a lot in common, hence she became my better half right from Jss1, we were more like siblings. Everything was going on well not until Mystery decided to join a gang of female students known as the slay queens at SS2. These group of students were known for sewing short uniforms, chewing gums mannerlessly, they also had this habit of coming to school with extra dresses of which they changed into during break and sneaked out of the school environment.
Mystery began leading a wayward life, she wanted to be among the happening babes in school with the latest fashion style, mobile devices etc, she dropped academically and never attended classes anymore. All efforts to speak sense into her proved abortive hence I had to cut off all ties with her.
Due to the heinous activities of these gang in school, an emergency PTA meeting was held when the school authorities noticed the influence of this group on innocent students. After several attempts to stop the bad act proved abortive, the school authorities decided to expel all the gang members of which mystery was among.
I coincidentally met Mystery last month as a shadow of herself at Anua teaching hospital when I went with my grandma for her eye test session. She was with a child and she fits the perfect description of a walking corpse. According to her, she had gotten pregnant during one of her escapades and this particular pregnancy was just too stubborn as all the abortion pills she took didn't work out. She had to give birth to the baby and cater alone since she never knew the father.
She came to the hospital to get her anti-retroviral drugs to suppress the AIDS virus in her body. She said she already registered her baby at a well known orphanage and was gonna hand her over the following week.
She was only spending her final days with her child as she smelt death around the corner, she regretted her actions and I was actually speechless. There was no need crying over spilt milk but I did cry, mourn, weep and grieve.

Mystery wanted to live a flamboyant, carefree life as a teenager but alas everything turned out to be the opposite. She is currently just 19 years of age and I pray that God should lengthen her days a little bit longer. Sincerely " EVERYTHING THAT GLITTERS ✨ IS NOT GOLD"

I'm telling you, a lot of things is going on in the world, everybody now is looking for money by all means, but the don't want to pass through process.
This story is painful from the beginning and will end up with death. If a fly refuse to hear advice, it will depend into the grave with corpse.

What a touching story. This is a real life experience and it cannot get worse. Mystery really messed up her life. Bad association will always lead to terrible endings like this. Oh my world, 🥲, Mystery allowed peer pressure make her live wayward lifestyle and the end is really heart wrenching.
