It is located along Abakaliki-Ogoja road. It is actually the best of it's kind in the while of the West-african subregion.

The buildings are modern and the shops are spacious,it has a police post for security of the market traders and buyers,the most amazing there is that there's a school located inside,a daycare and a primary school. Imagine how much of a convenience this is for the traders who don't have to worry about leaving their shop for a long period to get their kids from school or having to worry of their children's safety if they have to come back to the shop from a long distance after school. So you see, amazing right?

Another place of special interest in Abakaliki is the sports centres located in different parts of the city. I will be talking about the one called"Ngede oruta stadium" Located in kpirikpiri. I have been there many times for work outs and I must say it's a really interesting avenue. Various clubs come there to exercise programs and to play sports like football, basketball.

On Saturday mornings,the stadium is usually filled to the brim with people running, doing work-outs, playing games, selling food,water,clothes, coffee and other things.

Hotels,motels and guest houses are a frequent sight around the town and they all have really amazing services. There are also eateries, coffee shops,bakery shops among others.
