Introduction

Hi fellow Steemians in steemalive. It is my sincere pleasure to tell you how my day went toady.

IMG_20211018_135358_048.jpg

Every day comes with it's challenges and today was never an exception and thanks be to God Almighty who gives me power surmount the challenge each presents.

Morning

As it is it customary, my day began with a person quiet time which I call Alone With God I meditated on the bible verse of Jeremiah 29:11 which says:

<For I know the thought I, think towerd you of peace and not of evil to give you an ere towardà you says, the lord"

After which I now called my wife and kids for a family devotion which I often refer to as "Family Alter". We sang the inspiring hymns

<When peace like a river attended my way, when sorrow like sea billow roll, whatever my lot Thou has taught me to say it is well with my soul

My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness, I dare not trust the sweetest frame but wholly lean on Jesus name. On Christ the solid Rock I stand all other ground is sinking sand.

After the devotion.
We took our bathes, had our breakfast and at about 9:00am we proceeded to the General Hospital Akwanga for my daughter's vaccination who is 3 months old. The previous dose she took was on the 20th of September 2021, and the dose will be on the 18th of December 2021

Vaccination is of a very great importance to children as it helps to prevent a d protect them different kinds of deadly infantile diseases such a Measles, Yellow, Meaningitis, poliomyelitis, neonatal tetanus etc. I therefore make a Clarion call to all parents to always keep a date with their wards' vaccination. We left the hospital at about 11:00am. And I headed for my office.

Afternoon

I booked an appointment to meet with some newbies on steemit for mentorship, following the open challenge our city coordinator @charis20 threw @us that anyone should choose at least three newbies to mentor and whoever succeeds in helping them to make at least three posts within the week will be hansomsely rewarded.

I therefore decided to take the bull by the horn and selected some newbies which include @terdoo, @mukan and @kasham02.
I called each of these newbies and told them of my intention to mentor them and forwarded the links of some ongoing contest this week. So I had wanted us to meet at a neutral ground but @kasham02 complained of her commitment and engagement because she work under someone at a POS Outpost so leaving there won't be easy for her. I then decided to take our meeting point to her place of work which is at School Of Health Technology Alushi, Nasarawa State. This is a Private School owned by the Evangelical Reformed Church of Christ(ERCC).
I called @mukan to meet me at my office so we can take off together and also informed @terdoo, who is coming from the College of Education, Akwanga, to meet us at the Roundabout or Access Bank where we shall take off together. Unfortunately @mukan excused that he was choked with some household routine tasks so won't be able to make it. By 12:00noon I met with @terdoo at the agreed meeting point and we headed for Alushi to catch up with @kasham02. Arriving there we started immediately, firstly I mentored them on house to apply MARK DOWNS though to @kasham02 it was like a refreshment course because she has earlier been taught by @charis20 but has forgotten how to use them because she seldom make post.

And the same time I helped to to subscribe to more communities which include @steemfamily.
Network over there was terribly bad coupled with the fact that none of them has data. The network I had data in was MTN and there was no MTN service there except Glo and Airtel so I had to subscribe with my Airtel line. At first I tried connecting them to my hotspot to use my WiFi but all effort to connect proved abortive so I encouraged them in kind to subscribe which @terdoo did successfully but @kasham02 struggled with the subscription for some couple of minutes running into an hour before it successfully subscribed. While sitting outside we I had ample opportunities to engage and interact with most of the students there especially those who came to enquire about what we are doing and those who came to transact business @kasham02 POS.

Fortunately I met one Mr. Stephen, an old time friend who is a lecturer taking them on Environmental Health in the school and intimated him on steemit, he promised to meet me privately for more clarification and sign up

.
By the end of the @terdoo was able to make a post on one of the ongoing contest by @peachyladiva in @steemfamily and also learn the mark downs and how to use them while @kasham02 was not able to make a post consequent upon poor Network and incessant interruption by her customers trooping in to transact business. Meanwhile, having learnt all the nitty-gritty of post making she promised to upload her post today as soon as she gets home and her network normalizes.

Evening

We left there towards eventide when it was almost 5:00pm. So I drove @terdoo back to her campus at College of Education Akwanga and thereafter returned to my office to continue my business for the day.

Conclusion

It was indeed a very fulfilling and fruitful day. I wish to see these newbies becoming very active Steemians sooner than later. Thanks to my mentors@charis20 and @patience90 who had patiently carried me along and are still carrying me till date. What I learnt from them I am stepping down to these newbies ad well. My target is that by the end of these week we will have made more than three posts each in steemalive and we all will have done our Achievement Task 2. I also appreciate @terdoo and @kasham02 for their zeal to learn. Thanks for reading my blog.
