Love at first sight

Don't get it twisted that i called my mum my very love at first sight, just read along, you will grasp my plight and you definitely will concur with me that she deserved what ever adoration i vested on her.

WHO IS MY MUM

My mum

She is Nnanna Eunice by name, She is from Isieke Oshiri She is married to Mr James Nnanna of Umuimam Oshiri, both in Onicha LGA of Ebonyi state Nigeria. She was the was the 4th child of her mother just like am her forth child. We had this sentimental attachmet with each other may be because of our similar position in the family or maybe because i was named after my father, so am her junior husband whichever the reason am so close to my mum that people often call me "Di Nne ya" (mums husband).
She is a dedicated Jehovah's Witness and never play with her believes. She had seven children,but has six that are alive and lost one in death. She is an introvert and that makes it difficult to mingle, so once she is not in her warehouse that means she is at home, or went out for preaching or congregation meeting. However her husband(my father) is completely an extrovert which makes them two different people that understands them selves.

WHAT MY MUM DOES

My Mother Is a Walking Miracle. She is a business owner, she runs DENOBECK NIG LTD, Major Importer and distributor of Canada and American Tarpaulins. A company that started like just a dream, that dream turn to miracle and the Miracle Became a Blessing, the Blessing in turn became a Break through. My mum had a humble beginning. While we were small she sells roasted corn, later to cooked Ground nuts. She decided to go into Aba new Market (Ahia Ohuru) because she had no much money she could only buy the left over goods and pieces, the little profit made kept boosting her trading capital. Because of her honesty and sincerity someone recommended her to sell a container load of his brothers goods because the initial people he was doing business with were all dupes. Because she knew the final consumer of the goods she supply directly to them instead of passing through rigorous process of selling to market women that will later sell to the consumer she will pay the importer the supposed market price and then supply to the consumer. The profit made at this time changed her story for good because she later became a business owner and imports her own goods at still buy from the importer that God used to elevate her.

SPECIAL SACRIFICES MY MUM MADE

Like a golden apple in a silver basket so is my mum to my family. Mum denied her self basic necessities when she had nothing just to see is through in school. My Dad was trying though but his earnings as a laundry Man could not carry the financial load of the family because the expense was too much.

Mum once used almost all her trading capital in 2012 to build a house because we had unending issues with my dads siblings over his house in the village, the issue raised to the point that we hardly go home because we were left with just one room and parlour. She decided to build 5 rooms and a large parlour so we could leave the other house for my dads siblings.

Three years after the first sacrifice she also made another by using again almost all her trading capital in 2015 to buy a two storey building and renovated it, and we packed in the following year. This is because the landlord kept increasing the rent almost at yearly interval so we ended the issue by buying out own house courtesy of mum. Though Dad built his own house but it was far away from our business zone. Time may fail me if i try mentioning all the sacrifices that mum has made for the family.
Like it is written, "Mothers are like a guiding angel once they are missing in the family, it takes only God himself to pilot the family towards the right direction".

DIFFICULT SITUATION THAT MUM FACED

A popular Igbo adage has it that the killing of a man is not as mush disheartening than the damage on his reputation,.

Little wonder the law court gave room for prosecution of slander as a potential man slaughter. In the light of this, One of the most difficult moment in my mums life was when she was accused of using her own younger sister for ritual, Though it was clear that she died of child birth complications. The allegation was because the demised sister of my mum was closer to my mum, so before her death she brought her last baby of two years to mum because she trusted her so much, two days later she died in labour. My mum elder sister said she knew she was going to use her that was why she ask her to bring her daughter. This caused a serious issue that is not completely settled till today but thank God mum continued raising the little girl till date. Her photo below

Another problem or challenging time she had was when she got poisoned, her Bp and pulse raised to 460/300 she was unconscious and her legs got swollen below is the image of her legs when her Bp was controlled and the legs remain swollen

It was Gods intervention that kept her alive till this day. No one has ever believed even the doctors that attended to her said she may have partial stroke but thank God she is very sound now below is the picture of her after recovering from the sickness

UNIQUE QUALITIES OF MY MOTHER I WANT TO COPY

OPTIMISM
My mum is so optimistic about things that even when you see it that it won't work she will give you a million reason why it will work, she makes me believe that everything will fall into place provided there is life. Her optimism has gradually rooted deep in me that even when people shrink back i keep moving.

FOCUS My mum is so focused that she is not distracted by irrelevant things. she tot me that "Making effort to be like others is a total distraction on its own, so be your self" mum is so focused that once she is set to do something, she does it as if she is dying the next minute and this is really helping me fight my greatest enemy of all procrastination.

SPIRITUAL Mum is so spiritual that she prepares her mind for anything to come even if its death. This has made her face enemies, even those that will come directly to her and threaten to kill her with black magic. It was in the light of this that i know that most time we fall prey to cheap threats from people that could barely do nothing simply because we are scared of death.

CONCLUSION

I wish to say a Big thank you to the steemit community of this privilege given to us to share our experiences, and then to steemalive for coming up with this challenge. I have been reading stories from different people, i came to a Conclusion that "The only true kiss in this life is the kiss from a mother " those creatures are unique and special. They may seem seem weak but very strong , they may appear very annoying but are actually the most caring.
