corn for the preparation
INTRODUCTION
Welcome to my class take your position as i will be presenting an interesting topic to you all. We are going to learn how to make a mouth watering jollof Akidi..
The ingredients
- Corn.
- Oil.
- Bone marrow.
- Seasoning
- salt
- Green leaf.
Preparation
socked corn
Select your corn. Wash it and sock over night. Then change the water in the morning before griding it. After washing it out from the socked water take it to a nearby griding machine and gride it to be very smooth. Then use your filtering cloth to sieve it, allow it for a while to settle. Then bag it for it to drain out water.
The green leaf for the wrap
I always like my jellof Agidi to be wrapped in this green leaf. So at this stage get your green leaf ready wash or carefully clean it.
On the fire
agidi on fire
Put it on fire and mix it with all the ingredients and turn it until the taste is ok. That means is done and ready for eating.
Ready and sweet Agidi
wrapped in the green leaf
After turning it on fire you fold the green leaf like funnel and put the Agidi. That is how to fold it so that it will not pour out since it is sill watery. This Agidi is sold 50 to 100 naira for one they also have small one that they sell 4 for 100 naira.
Some health benefits of eating Agidi
Very easy to digest. Since Agidi is very light, it makes digestion very fast that is why is given to babies who have reached the age of eating solid food.
It gives strength. Agidi contains carbohydrates so it makes you very strong as well as gives strength.
Good for sight. Eye problem has been on the increase everyday so eating Agidi will help the eyes to be functioning very fine.
It makes the breast milk to flow very well. For new born mothers that the breast milk is dropping small or not coming out atall try this Agidi is very good.
Loss of weight. Agidi doest not contain much ingredients that can contribute to adding of weight so eating it is advisable to everyone.
No preservative. Agidi can only be eaten that day of preparation because it is not prepared with any thing that can make it stay long. So eat it as it is and enjoy it.
Conclusion
Do you know i can eat as many as my stomach can carry. I so much love this food especially with bone marrow. I love jellof Agidi how about you?.
