Behold 'A Weekend To Remember'

Preamble

My dear steemit compatriot in the SteemAlive, Steemkids, and the entire steemians in different communities, how is your weekend? Hope it is full of activities to remember in susequent weeks ahead! I am asking this because a saying goes thus: "all work without play makes Jack a dull boy." This weekend for me have been marked for rest, even though I have not totally rested as I still queese out time to write and post this piece as I remember my last weekend.

A Weekend To Remember
Last weekend being the 31st of October 2021 have actually been tag by me: 'a weekend to remember.' You may be wondering why? Sit and read along as a gist you how it all went.

Early Hour
I woke up in the early hour of that faithful sunday as usual, tapped my beloved wife to woke for the morning worship. The theme text for that sunday morning worship was taken from 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 which reads:

"Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God."

Lesson
It emphasised the fact that humans have a natural need for comfort and a remarkable ability to provide it. For instance, when a little child falls and skins his knee while playing, he may run to Mommy or Daddy, crying. The parents cannot heal the wound, but they can comfort the child. They may ask what happened, wipe away his tears, offer soothing words and affection, and perhaps apply some medicine or a bandage. Before long, the child stops crying and may even resume playing. In time, the wound will heal. Sometimes, though, children are hurt in far worse ways. Some are sexually abused. The abuse can be inflicted on a single occasion, or it may go on for years. In either case, the abuse can leave deep emotional scars. In some cases, the offender is caught and punished. In others, the abuser may seem to escape justice. But even if justice is swift, the harmful effects of the abuse may last well into adulthood. Hence, the need for the greatest comforter.

Refreshing Activities
After returning from the worship service which was held through zoom, we relaxed for a couple of hours. Then by 3pm I called on @umoh88, a friend and a fellow steemian, to move to Udouduma field known now as the christmass village, the venue for the monthly members in Uyo/other state with no coordinator football exercise organise by @ngoenyi. On arriving the venue, I found out that the game was already in progress. It was a site to behold. Our country representative was seen energetically marking, giving passes and all playing to the admiration of the onlookers. Others on the field include @benson6, @benton3 among others.

The interesting part to me was when she walked up to me and said: 'will you play, I am tired', I said wao! My exclamation comes from the fact that I can not remember the last time I played football. There and then I remembered that saying 'all work without play makes Jack a dull boy.' I quickly accepted as she hands out a blue jersey to me and a yellow jersey to my friend. Please dont border finding out if I played well! To be candid, after few minutes of warmimg up, I recalled my previous styles of play and before you knew it, I was enjoying myself, infact, it was as if the day should not end.
Well, anything that have beginning is sure to have an end. The exercise actually comes to an end, all steemians in the field of play were exhausted, as we were given cube millow to regain strenght.

One other part that interest me was that, while we were in the pitch, @ngoenyi and her friend was seen busy chatting up some other guys who were watching us play while waiting to use the pitch after we are done. What could she be saying, you may guess; she was introducing steemit to them.

To get us refreshed she asks us to move to the market square at the Tropicana which was some driving distance still along Udoudoma avenue. On getting there, we were all settled for refreshment with bottles of soft drinks and snacks to go down with, after which we depart to our various homes.

Conclusion
Dear steemians, it was actually a weekend to remember because I have exercise myself, get refreshed, meet other steemians and learn a new method of approaching and introducing steemit to people. I look forward with great anticipation having that wonderful experience again.

To me, it was actuslly a weekend full of activities to remember in years to come!
