Hello Steemians, I hope your day is going on fine. Please stay positive. It's amazing to still be in this challenge till the 5th day. I Believe in a way we've learnt one or few things about someone from their memory lane(history). Today I want to talk about learning a trade(that is acquiring a skill).

WHAT IS A TRADE? (ACQUIRING A SKILL)

When you have sardine but want margarine and your neighbour has margarine but wants sardine, you can make a trade. Trade can also mean a job skill.

Trade is commercial exchange which is buying and selling of goods or services. Anything you do or get for somebody and you get something in return is trade.

It can also be known as equal exchange because what you're exchanging is worth what you're getting. To learn a trade means to acquire a certain skill.

Learning A Trade(Skill)

Taking this step means you've given up on working for anybody, you've taken your time to think about satisfying others and you've taken a step to learn about what you would like to do at your own time and pace. It means you've made up your mind to be a Boss.

TYPES OF TRADE(SKILLS TO ACQUIRE)

There are very many different types of trade one can learn. I can only list few of them, which includes:
Electrician, Plumber, Carpentry, House painting and decorating, Bricklayering, Tailoring, Baking, Welding, Mechanic, Farmering, Blogging, Phone repairing, Hair barbing, Hair styling, Photographying, Make-up artist, Cooking, Gardening, etc. There are many more you can learn.

REASONS FOR LEARNING A TRADE(SKILL)

There are many reasons to consider learning a skilled trade, here are just a few:

• It is affordable in price and shorter training periods.
  Unlike being in school, pay for fees and spend years learning things.

• Skilled workers are in high demand,like on a daily base. You either need to fix your shoes or toilet or sew a dress, you need a skilled personnel.

• You enjoy the work you do. It's something you now see as a simple task to get it done with and get paid.

• You can move up the ladder for more knowledge. You can upgrade in skill to satisfy your client.

• Career growth. You will become a Boss to train others.

• You gain an immediate experience.

• You get to have your own brand name for some skills.

• You get your own pay directly.

With these few notes,I hope I have been able to convince someone about learning a trade.
