The sheep that will grow horns
How stable is the nimble neck

The child that will avenge the father
How strong are the bulging muscles.

We tell a tale of broken hearts
We tell a tale of wounded emotions

We have kept the minor minutes
We have wasted the major hours

From thrilling heroic actions
To palpable contradictory deeds

On a platter of fraud
Intellectual stimulus is suppressed,
It may be difficult to speak
It is impossible to be silent,
For ripples turn into a tide
In a cloud of fear bred by terror

How many have to die
Before we become sane
Tears are not enough
Today charity begins abroad
Ask the reeling refugees of Ethiopia.
How many have to die
Before we become sane
We have gained the power
We have lost the glory
A committee of elders could
Become a committee of murderers

The dead now mourns the dead
With the magic of semantics
Princes only pass away
But paupers are said to die
And the earth swallows all.

When do untimely death
Become timely?
The past on the wings of
The present files to the fire next time
To tame fiery sundry spirits.

A matter closed official
Is still open for debates
In the teeming beer parlours.

We have changed faces
Have we changed fortunes?
We have changed hatred
Have we changed hopes?

With publicized orchestrated carnivals
Of a trailer load of half-truths
We are suckled and weaned in tribalism
We remain bowed bent and beaten.
As we look backward to the ancestors
Let us also look forward to posterity.
But what kind is sacrifice is required
When everyone suffers at the end
Fear the fire next time
Which may consume even the air.

I hope you were able to grab the meaning, hopefully someone did......

Thank you for reading through my post....
