Greetings to everyone in the @steemalive community. I hope we're all doing well. A special thanks to @uzoma24 for this contest,the moment I saw it I knew I had to participate.

Inventions in whatever form have changed and are still changing the course of history an the way man does things. This also affects the socio,economic and political aspects of our lives in more ways than we can imagine.
Here are my top 5 inventions of all time and how they've affected the course of nature and changed the way we do things as humans.

1. TELEPHONE:

A telephone is a communication device that enables two or more users who might be too far apart to talk directly.
The telephone arguably being pioneered by other inventors,the first to be awarded a patent for the electric telephone was Alexander Graham Bell in 1876.

Before the invention of the telephone,people communicated through letters which would take days if not weeks to get to the other party depending on where the other party lived.
People also used the telegraph to communicate. A telegraph is a system of transmitting messages from a distance along a wire.

LIFE AFTER THE INVENTION OF THE TELEPHONE
The telephone has had significant impact in people's lives and the way people do things. It has enabled quickness of communication,ease in doing businesses. One no longer has to wait for days to communicate with either their loved ones or perform business transactions.

The telephone has influenced my life in so many ways.

1. Ease in communication: I can at the press of a button communicate with loved ones,friends and even carry out business transactions.
2. Information is readily available to me because of the invention of the telephone. I can access people far and wide and get information about things I previously didn't know or need.

The name of the invention is Electricity and it was discovered in the year 1752 by Benjamin Franklin when he ran his famous kite experiment which proved that static electricity and lightening were one and the same.
Then in 1831 Micheal Faraday made findings that electric currents could be produced by passing a magnet through a copper wire. This discovery formed the bedrock of electricity today and how it's generated.

LIFE AFTER THE INVENTION
Undoubtedly electricity is one of the most important inventions. Electricity makes marvelous things happens. Since it was invented, other inventions have taken off and its been used to help these other inventions

ONE WAY THE INVENTION HAS INFLUENCED MY LIFE.

1. Electricity provides light for my room which helps me see when it's night time or when a room is dark.
2. Electricity charges my phone when it's down which enables me stay in touch with my family and even conduct businesses.
3. It also enables the Television, radio etc work which provides entertainments.

Before the invention of the motor car people travelled on horsebacks, on carts on wheels pulled by horses, or by trekking far distances on foot.

LIFE AFTER THE INVENTION
The invention of motor cars has eased the stress experienced by people during travelling. It has brought ease in movement of people,goods and services from one location to another.

One way the invention has influenced my life

1. I can travel across far distances in little or no time thanks to the invention of the motor car
2. It is a source of employment as people are needed to move the cars from one place to another thereby making money in the process.

NAME AND YEAR OF INVENTION.
In 1802, Humphry Davy invented the first electric lamp then over the next seventy years other inventors created 'light bulbs' of which none patented, so on October 14 1878 The famous Thomas Edison filed his first patent for the incandescent lamp and became recognized as the 'inventor' of the light bulb'.

LIFE BEFORE THE INVENTION.
Before the light bulb was invented,kerosene lamps and lanterns were the main sources of light in houses, though its light was very small and not far reaching.

1. Air travels couldn't be done at the rate it's been done today because there wouldn't be radars(screens) warning lights and interior lightings for night flying.

LIFE AFTER THE INVENTION
The Light bulb brought a lot of changes.

1. It facilitated the creation of large power grids, it has brought standard lighting into houses and Air travels are done at more efficient rates.

ONE WAY THE LIGHT BULB HAD INFLUENCED MY LIFE.

1. The light bulb helps me see,travel and navigate during the night or in dark places.
2. It enables me to continue working after sundown due to the light it generates.

NAME, YEAR OF INVENTION AND INVENTOR.
The Printing Press was invented by the German Johannes Gutenberg in 1440,though others before him had developed a movable type, Gutenberg was the first to create a mechanized system which transferred the ink to the paper.

LIFE BEFORE THE PRINTING PRESS
Before the printing press writings of any sort had to be done with hand and this was a painstaking task. Different materials like the papyrus,wax, and even clay.

LIFE AFTER THE PRINTING PRESS
First and most importantly the printingpress had made it possible to have writings in one centralized copy and that's in paper.
The Printing press also increased the speed at which book copies were made, and this led to a widespread dissemination of knowledge and information like never before in history.

HOW IT HAS INFLUENCED MY LIFE

1. Access to a wide variety of books. This was made possible because of the invention of the printing press
2. The Printing Press made it possible to have wider access to the bible which in turn made it possible to have alternative interpretations. This alternative interpretations has helped me understand and comprehend the bible better.

Like earlier said,inventions have made life easier and of course brought their fair share of negative effects,though the good far outweighs the bad. Thank you once again @uzoma24 for this contest. It was an amazing time learning about my favourite inventions. I hope you learnt a thing or two.
